“Pirate Hunter” Roronoa Zoro
Zoro was once a feared Bounty Hunter in the East Blue, seemingly we lost the entirety of bounty hunting once Zoro joined the crew and it slowly has been reintroduced with Cross Guild. Funnily enough they’re chasing Marine Bounties and we haven’t even encountered a YC caliber true Bounty Hunter.
Whiskey Peak is the last time I genuinely remember the mentioning of a Bounty Hunter, was it that bounty hunters were so weak they prayed off the weaker fledglings starting their journeys or did Oda just scrap the idea all together.
As I personally would’ve loved to have seen Zoro at least within the first half have a focus or emphasis on having a side arc of capturing a stronger pirate for sport. Obviously he himself is a wanted criminal but he could capture purely for sport or even challenge another swordsman for the title of WSS as that concept has also gone down the drain aswell.
Anywho thoughts?
