The reason why Roger didn't had to fight for Big Mom's Poneglyph was because she was giving birth to one of her children at time. Roger really is the luckiest man. Even more than Luffy.
My other theory is that he was giving her a children that would be born 9 months later. But if you search for possible children of Big Mom that born around that time... They don't look promisor.
