This thread serves to display the current levels of each role-player in the section. Additionally, it will serve as an area for Game Masters and reviewers to post their reviews of submitted battles. Please DO NOT submit your Battleground, Story Mission, and/or Canon Event as to avoid clogging the thread. Use the Battleground Submissions Thread as the place to submit any of those. An available reviewer will review your battle and post their review in here.

There are two types of EXP awarded.

Canon Exp: Story Missions, Islands, Naval Battles and Canon Events.

Non-canon Exp: Battlegrounds and Non-canon Events.

Canon Exp has a higher multiplier than Non-canon Exp and users will subsequently get more experience in here than they would doing a Battleground. Canon missions will also be prioritized over non-canon stories.

Thoughts -
I enjoyed reading this introduction to the beginnings of this pirate crew. You guys did a fine job of showing to the reader who your characters were while also setting up for potential development not only for your individual characters but all three of you guys to progress as a crew. I like that because the meeting wasn't just like "hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number, so join my pirate crew!" sort of deal. There was some internal conflict already presented in this introduction story that could play out to be a big deal later on. What I mean is basically how Kyria and Hakucha clash against one another. Kyria is someone who, from what I've read, is headstrong and confrontational while Hakucha is hesitant and much prefers to avoid any unnecessary battle with marines and the like. This could end up being something that causes a rift between the crew later down the road as Hakucha wants to stay out of fighting while Kyria is trying to get into fighting because of his bloodthirstiness and insanity getting the better hold of him.

And as for each individual character, as I said, development is being set up here. You have Hakucha who wants to become the Pirate King but would like to avoid fighting marines and well, that's just not gonna work out well on her journey. Then there's Kyria who is going through his own internal conflict of sanity vs insanity. I'm eager to see how all these things play through as the story progresses.

Now, of course, having dynamic characters is great, but static characters are also good in their own right. That's where Skoll and Malcolm come in. Lee, I'm not sure what your plans are for Skoll but I think for him it'd be best to simply flesh out his story instead of trying to create a major character arc where he goes through this crazy development and whatnot. You touched a bit on his backstory with that flashback and that piqued my interest for sure. Just my two cents on how I feel like you should direct his character. If you want him to be dynamic instead of static, that's perfectly fine.

Last but not least, Malcolm. I really like him. Firstly, I like that old English speaking you're giving him, Owl. Definitely adds some uniqueness to his character. He gives me an uncle Iroh vibe. An old, hardened warrior full of wisdom just trying to live his life. He's the simplest of all these characters but that's not a necessarily bad thing in my eyes.

Overall, job well-done guys. I'm liking what you got and I'm eager to see some more.

Just some quick thoughts;

Jiihad; you didn't scale off your DPR if you did so you would get a higher mark in combat prowess.
Hyakumaigawara Seiken: A very strong hard punch that can break through 100 tiles and send the user's opponent flying.
(21 Mastery, 21 Strength) Destructive Potency Rank: C

As there's a requirement that revolves around your Strength. If you see the technique it requires 21 in your "Strength". With you having 61 in your Strength in your current stats, so it means you can use this technique. Same for your Fishman Karate, however the technique will scale off your "Strength" stat.

(If you take a look at the Stats in Combat to the Guide to Stat Points)

Your Base 61 Strength Stat for "Attack Potency" = 61-80: 4. Small Building Level

Then if you scroll down a little you will see this:
Next will be the explanation of how your character can perform attacks of multiple tiers that are above the current stat cap. As every ability will have a rank set to how much damage it can do and deal. So each rank will give an extra amount to certain destruction levels as your character progresses.

D:+0(this is unnamed punches, sword slashes, etc)
C:+1 Bracket (+20)
B:+2 Brackets (+40)
A:+3 Brackets (+60)
S:+4 Brackets (+80)
S+:+5 Brackets (+100)
etc.
As your technique used is a "Rank C" so your attack will go up by "+1 Bracket (+20)" so your "Attack Potency" will rise a rank to = 81-99: 5. Large Building Level

A more in-depth review of the 80th Branch Base. As requested-

Jiihad, you are very proficient in story description. You use fluent words and hone in on describing the scenery around your character. The characterization of Rihan has a profound sense of humor in it which definitely helps keeps the action bits entertaining. Your natural humor flows well into it. That being said though, I do wish to see some more branches of his personality as you dive deeper into the story of the Nex Pirates. Avoid having him just be a one-dimensional funny character, almost serving as comic relief. Some other points you could have hit to improve your RPing was when you had mentioned not wanting to get recaptured:

Instead of simply saying that you don't want to go to jail, you could have shown it through his emotions or how felt of the situation. Like this:

The way those wretched marines mauled us, starved us and destroyed us on the way to Impel Down. And then the pain came even in worse packages when we arrived at Impel Down. A cold shudder ran through Rihan's body as the memories of his imprisonment flooded his mind. There is no way in hell, I'm returning there!
I am kinda making it sound as if you have PTSD here but I hope you get what I'm shooting for with it. Dive a little deeper into the emotions and feelings of your character. It helps greatly to flesh them out to the reader.

Mr. Anderson, I have similar points to hit about Katsumi as well.
Adrenaline was now coursing through Katsumi's veins. And the grin from earlier returned, this is what he missed out on during the battle against Grondilier, the thrill of battle.
Likewise with Jiihad, you could have given Katsumi a bit more characterization in this. It's nice to know that he likes the thrill of battle, but the way you did it was rather surface level. Some dialogue could be used with Katsumi reminiscing on how boring the war of the two kingdoms was or how much fun he hopes to gain in fighting these marines. And what about the description of his emotion? A grin helps but it doesn't do a lot.
Adrenaline was now coursing through Katsumi's veins. *Badump...badump...badump, badump, badump, badumpbadumpbadump* The beat of his heart slow at first, but steadily grew to a vigorous pump, beating the blood into his body at rapid-fire. Katsumi's eyes bulged, growing redder by the minute as the blood vessels in them began to fill. Katsumi clenched his fists and grinned a smile that would make a dentist proud. "Ah, yes, this was what was missing in the dull battle between those two kingdoms. For every fight, there should be some thrill, some desire for blood, or else, what's the point? It's time to dance and I'm ready to take someone out to the ballroom!
Another thing to touch upon for your Anderson is that you need to some more show and not tell.
Katsumi kept his gaze trained on the island up ahead. While he was happy he got the reward, he was also pissed he didnt get the oppurtunity to face any of enemy commanders directly. So he was itching to blow off some steam.
For example, here you should have done more to show the reader how Katsumi is pissed at not fighting. Either with some dialogue by having him say it, disgruntled grumbling also works, a description of his facial expressions, etc. Stuff like this helps create a better description and give more personality to your character. Right now, I would say that an issue for Katsumi is that he doesn't have any cutting-edge personality that gives him his own persona. He feels bland and passive at times. Though, he is quick-thinking and creative. Using smoke and flash bombs to distract the much stronger enemy was a good idea. Otherwise, there isn't much going for him at this instance.

I very much enjoyed reading the banter between Rihan and Katsumi. It's some genuinely funny stuff and it keeps the story very entertaining to read. Don't change that.

Some nitpicking by me, i mean thoughts. This only contains DPR side of your BG.
Hmm! That’s definitely not normal, someone with that strong of an aura. Let alone in this tree huggin ahh place. I doubt they’re from hea. But still, seems he’s only a couple feet down tha street and heading this way”
As I entered the tavern the room hushed, everything grew tense. I activated my observation Haki and easily covered the room and area outside. Only one man had the power to challenge me in here. From what I could see there were also a group of police in here, but they were all weak..
I know you mentioned the use of CoO (Awareness), but just make sure you add this part when using your CoO
Awareness Observation
Requirements:
Observation Haki Mastery of 41 or above.
Description: The user will be able to sense living things within a 100-meter radius of them.
This can be found here in Haki.

Seeing that tha distance between us was to small to mount a full counterattack. I coat both of my hands with Armament Haki. Tha technique giving them a reflective sheen, even tho they were black in color. Hastily putting my hands in front of my chest and leaning into tha wind blade. His blade of wind clashing with my hakified palms. Tha blade eventually dissipating, opening and closing my hands I could feel tha sting on my palms and a slight trail of blood making it down my left palm
You only missed out the scaling portion of this and the DPR
Defensively, Armament Haki can be used as follows:

Basic Hardening (Kouka)
1-99 Mastery:
Defensive Augmentation: 1 Durability Bracket (+20 Durability)
As your Durability stat used in the BG is: 78 = 1-80: 4. City Block Level
+1 Durability Bracket for using Hardening to defend yourself = 81-99: 5. Town Level
Result being = If the player's resilience is above the opponent's DPR, In brackets by two or more. Their character will not receive any injury's (As you have +2 more higher Dura > Beer's attack here, found here in Guide to Stat points.)
