Up to this point, the clash between Yuta and Sukana has spanned only 3 chapters, a sharp contrast to the 15-chapter epic between Gojo and Sukuna. If Yuta's role is indeed concluded, it feels somewhat underwhelming for Sukuna's main course.

Do you think Yuta is done for? If yes, how Yuji and Maki, who are brawlers type, are sufficient to subdue Sukuna and prevent the merger?

they can't. merger will happen. yuji survived, cause his soul is inside megumi's body

I thought possessed brat could've meant Yuji too, but it's clarified later when Sukuna says the he knows the "possessed brat" has the copy CT in chapter 249. It's still weird that Sukuna seemingly extrapolated Yuta to be the main dish after witnessing Yuji's growth though. It could be that Sukuna thought Maki was stronger than Yuta though, then extrapolated Yuji's growth onto Yuta into the assumption that Yuta's growth would place him > Maki, who'd have slower growth due to heavenly restriction not offering as many means of improvement as cursed energy.
