My bet is theres absolutely no correlation whatsoever when takes a break vs who appears in a chapter because this generally is due to outside circumstances forcing him to take breaks

Dawg we went from Kizaru vs Luffy 20 chapters ago to a whole Kuma backstory, to now Bonney and Kuma escaping on the back of giants and Luffy vs all Gorosei
