With Vegapunk revealing that the Roger pirates learned the truth of the world, making public that they know more than he knows since they reached Laugh Tale, do you guys think we're gonna see people starting to go after them ?

Not only other pirates/organizations but even the WG as well just to make sure they won't reveal any information ( ofc we could argue why they didn't do it until now but since they didn't revealed anything at the time they figured they were not gonna spill the beans randomly after Roger died )

I feel like it could be a nice way to introduce them into the story even with secondary roles.....

Not only the older ones, even Shanks & Buggy could become quite the target since i assume people don't know they didn't got to Laugh Tale!

If the WG didn't try to hunt them until now, it's pointless to do it now. The whole world learned about the flood. The Roger pirates can't do much worse.

Nor do I think there are many characters out there able to go after the likes of Rayleigh or even Crocus (whom, if a fight were to ever approach, Oda would be quick to retcon at a current YC level at least).

Plus, we already have too many secondary plotlines with Shanks, BB, CG, Weevil/Marco, Kid, Kaido & BM, Elbaf's Loki, Wano, etc. A background manhunt would dilute the story even more.

They're probably in hiding and have unknown whereabouts, so I doubt that anyone would be able to even have a clue about them. If the marines couldn't find Rayleigh, who lived pretty close to Marineford (now G-1), and Crocus, who lived in the only known (safe) way for a pirate to enter the Grand Line, they won't find anyone else. (Although I think that Garp knew about Rayleigh, he just choose not to go after him or report to anyone else. lol)

On top of that, they're old and different from their appearance as they were 20+ years ago... if Rayleigh was mistaken for a regular old man by the Human Auctioning House, which supposedly has info about pirates with bounties, almost everyone else should also be able to blend with normal citizens (except maybe guys like Sunbell, but due to him being a fishman, not because he was a Roger Pirate).

They obviously can, the flood it's just a part of the story and something Vegapunk realized happened because of the use of the ancient weapon(s), the Roger Pirates know the full thing, and even with that Ray said the SHs might reach a different conclusion than them once they get there

Yeah yeah i didn't meant like giving them their own plotline just some bits here and there to nicely show them in the current timeline and again Buggy & Shanks are part of it as well since people probably don't know they haven't been to Laugh Tale so they might assume they also know the truth of the world and go after them!

Shanks ofc is a Yonko and Buggy has Mihawk / Crocodile so they also won't be easy to catch lol though it might also attract more people to them, i wouldn't be surprised to see Cross Guild becoming more powerful because of this

Yeah that's true, but now people might have more reasons to go after them and try to learn the truth so things might intensify a little!


This is not really about the WG going after them but other pirates & organizations cuz now everybody will want to learn more & more!

To capture someone you need to be far stronger than them.capturing is not beating, even an admiral that isn't kizaru can't catch a fleeing yc1 let alone a fleeing toptier.
To capture Rayleigh you would need the full attention of two admirals so that he doesn't escape

Only six people on active duty can catch a fleeing top yc1 the three admirals,garling and momousagi and tokikake , all others are useless or can just help

Also, hardly anyone knows where they are.

WG is fine with them. Their focus will be damaged control and prevent others to sail to get to raftel because VP speech sparked interest in others to sail

Well it's not them that have to speak it's other people who might go after them to get to know the full story and they're basically the single source of truth rn :)
