Law still has some role to play.
His df is connected to the marie joa treasure.
He is interested in learning about the true history and the will of D.
His secret middle name "water", is seemingly important. Considering all the recent revelations about the sea levels rising etc.
And, more recently, when kidd and killer mentioned The man with the burn scar, Law had a curious face panel, to which Robin had a reaction too.
So Law has a connection to the man with the burn scar.
I personally think it's Gaban. That he has Oro jackson and the last road poneglyph.
We know Law was looking for poneglyphs during the time skip. So he might have found Gaban. Or if it is not Gaban, he might have foung the burn scar man, and/or been to Lodestar.
Anyway, Law definitely has important stuff down the line.
Kidd tho, i don't know. Unless he gets a special connection to the endgame via his family/bloodline, it is seeming like he doesn't really have anything in store. He was supposed to be a foil to goofy. He has fulfilled that role.
Maybe he gets some kinda role in elbaf. Against a Holy knight or something.

Law is the guy who cares about the Will of D on a personal level so Oda is going to have him find out the meaning and then drive the D story through him. Ultimately Luffy doesn’t care about his name and Robin while interested in it is not really the vehicle to explore that as she herself isn’t a D and the entire ancient history is her focus, not a small part of it
Kid has 0 going for him as of now, but I kinda assume that’s what elbaf is for. It will be an arc where Oda established a future role for Kid

Watch Kidd end up being protected by Luffy the same way Shanks protects all those weak as pirates that Kidd tried to take out....lol.
All jokes aside, I am not sure what "plans" Oda could have for Kidd at this point. He isn't the rival to the Straw Hats we hoped he would be. He lost everything that could have taken him towards finding the OP and being relevant on his own. He is basically starting life at zero (Re:Zero style).
