In the most recent chapter, it has been revealed that onigashima will reach the flower capital in 15 minutes. As such, some fans have taken this as a sign that Oda is wrapping wano up. This makes sense after all, I mean the tobi roppo have been defeated. But I feel like a lot of fans are missing something.
Luffy said on 2 separate occasions that the purpose of this war isn't just to beat kaido, but also to beat Orochi and big mom.
People keep saying over and over that big mom won't fall, that she's going to fall in elbaf, that Luffy is going to be the one to take her out; but Luffy lays it very clearly both before the war begun and to big mom herself. Luffy intends for big mom to fall in wano. How much focus has big mom gotten during the war? Barely any.
Similarly you have orochi. How much focus has he gotten during the war? Likewise, barely any. Its extremely likely that hiyori was the one who healed the scabbards after their fight with kaido, but we still haven't gotten that reveal.
And even for kaido. Kaido still lacks development as an antagonist. We're still yet to get a kaido flashback. We're also yet to see kaido's awakening and zoan awakening in general. Many people post up this idea that "zoan awakening isnt' special, it just makes them stronger", but this makes no sense. The impel down zoans were stylistically different from any hybrid we have seen. Chopper's monster point(which isn't confirmed as awakening, but still..) is very different from heavy point.
If Luffy was seemingly clashing on par with kaido in 1011, how did kaido all of a sudden 1 shot him? Awakening is likely the answer.
Overall it just doesn't make sense for the war to end in 15 minutes. There are still numerous secondary fights we need to get to, unanswered plot points with kaido, big mom, and orochi, and all of the symbolism with the dawn. With all this talk of a new dawn, wouldn't it make the most sense for kaido to be defeated by daybreak, as was the case with moria? Did thriller bark not have heavy wano foreshadowing? Also do we really think it would take Luffy on 15 minutes to put down kaido? I highly doubt it.
I think we are going to see a new hour of legends. In the hour of legends, Oden held up all of the scabbards on a plank for 1 hour. Similarly, I think after Shinobu turns momonosuke into an adult, he will hold up Onigashima for at least 1 hour, possibly even more.
