The same, basically, the guy was introduced as supposedly invincible yet we were given a detailed list of his defeats right away. The narrative Oda was going to follow with the character was always there.

I never thought he was the strongest but I used to think he was top 5. With what he is showing right now he is not even in my top 50.
He is struggling against Raizou, how worse can it get after that?

Let's not exaggerate my guy. Like i already said, he's in his dragon form only so the Scabs can shine a bit longer.

Yes sure he will be stronger than what he is showing rn, but going from supposedly being impossible to hurt to being ridiculed by Raizou, it is hard to think he is worth something.

It is. Watch in a few chapters when its revealed kaidos a fraud who only beat oden due to orochi cheating. Then hes gonna be shafted by luffy and co.
Akainu is superior to current luffy in everyway right now including fs and acoa.

He had a good start with shitting on Luffy, but then he faded into the background so Oda could focus on Orochi the Wario clone and Big Meme. And then the Oden flashback took a giant dump on Kaido, and it doesn't look like he'll improve anytime soon. I was hoping for a brutal, charismatic warlord, instead we got the Ambush Artist.

To be honest, I always did wonder why Oda went the Sky Island kamikaze swan dive route of "hyping" Kaido considering that this same feat was achieved by Gedatsu hundreds of chapters ago.

Anyway, Kaido has never impressed me as a character.

My first impression of him was that he was going to be a one dimensional meathead that relies on raw intimidation and hype to attempt to make himself memorable.

My impression of him now is that he is a contradictory bitch that talks big but has lost all semblance of the intimidation and false hype that was propping up his empty husk of a character.

By the time the next popularity poll comes round, chances are he will not even be in the Top 30 characters.

Keep in mind that Oda spent over a decade hyping this utter disappointment up. Lel.
