Really wondering why Toei REFUSES to use other canon content for filler, for example the Ace novels… or imo the best option rn “Monster” (https://mangasee123.com/read-online/Wanted-chapter-4-page-1.html )

I understand that this week was golden week yada yada yada… but for fucks sake… why cant they use supplemental content like this current coverstory.

Ik that they need to put Luffy and the SHs because people are definitely gonna prefer noncanon lame ass Luffy garbage over quality work.

Also wondering about this, but in the case of Monsters I think there's more complications such as licensing... IIRC, there was an interview about plans of animating the cover stories after the conclusion of the series...

They should start animating cover stories, some of those are literally more important than whatever happens in the chapters they're featured in like Enel's moon conquest

Except it was a one shot not an attempt at a series. Also Zoro is literally the 2nd most liked MC in OP so i dont get your point

Well, for this recap episode, its literally a recap episode. Its not got any really new animation to offer. Its 90% flashbacks.

I've heard I think that there was a producer who wanted to do some cover story stuff but I believe they said they were too busy with Wano.
