Apparently, White told Baam about how he ate Prince and Akraptor's souls in the last pages of the chapter in a last attempt to prevent him from going to the jumping device and fight him.
Next chapter should be glorious to see unless SIU changes the PoV again and god I hope that's not the case as it would be one of the biggest cockblocks ever.
Baam might very well go full "fuck it" to his plan of saving as much energy as possible to rescue Jinsung. That is if he doesn't go full berserk. You can tell by just the way Baam's eye was drawn on the last page that a storm is coming. This is just the calm before it.
