What do people like about Boruto?

I'm curious, because I just don't get it

it's not as good as Naruto and even if it's okay as a story I just can't enjoy it on principle; it lacks the charm of early Naruto and has totally destroyed the world-building/power-scaling - which makes it seem totally different, but not in a good way. Also think the Otsutsuki's are totally uninspired as villains. I dropped Boruto around the time it turned out Jigen was host to Kaguya's partner or something like that

So why do users here enjoy Boruto? Or do you also not?

Same reason why people like Dragonball Super. Fanservice.

Majority of the fanbase is made up of the Naruto fanbase trying to grab ahold onto any Naruto content they can.

However, a sequel series will always be a welcome addition to an already massively popular existing series that was mainstream world wide, even if it elicits a significant chunk of the Naruto fanbase to moan and complain about Boruto's lack of direction for its ability to present an engaging story...

Aside from the verse not be about ninjas anymore

Boruto is more of a brat than Naruto was. I can't enjoy him as a character. Him and Kawaki both seem very shallow characters. Idk.

He's not a fun brat either... He's the annoying know-it-all kind which is infuriating.

Kawaki is insufferable.

I hope Naruto comes back and spanks both of them tbh

Those two boys make me want them to both lose.

Note: It makes me think what if two Sasuke's fought each other and there was no third person like Hinata because neither of them respect Sarada and they aren't part of a team.

Boruto can be quite good or total cringe. I think the series lets down readers as Sarada, Mitsuki, Sumire, etc. should be well-developed characters by now. They are cardboard figurines. It is pretty much only about Boruto and Kawaki. That said, Kishimoto sure knows how to conceptualize battles very, very well. Kishimoto's battles bring me back.

I think they rushed Boruto and made a major mistate making into a sci fi series. The sci fi stuff was pretty boring for me.

I like seeing how horrendous the power creep and shinobi narrative progressively gets.

From a manga about ninjas with a little bit of magic to modern day planet nam-ek and the androids vs majin tree

They probably love the fact that Boruto went from a loser to an edgy, overpowered character out of nowhere. His fans probably get wet at this though. "Oh look how strong he is, look how edgy he acts... I'm going to cum. That could be me too, what a sigma 🤤"
