Discounting flashbacks I think there were couple instances in pre timeskip. Like @Sir Yasheen said, the Alabasta example

I also vividly remember the Skypiea one where he was eaten up by the snake and was practically out of the story for 15-25 episodes iirc

Weird thing is I think once we hit post timeskip there probably wasn't a single time where Luffy didn't appear for over 3-5 chapters tops (not counting flashbacks for obvious reasons)

Post timeskip Luffy has been a part of many major fights including the three parts versus Kaido so yeah its tough to keep him out when he is involved in active combat.

Not that I recall. The first chapter after his loss he yelled “MEAT” and was saved by Robin, but after that he’s not seen again until Alubarna during the straw hats raid.
