Compare the amount of Zoro and Mihawk (proxy Zoro) hating threads in the past year, to the Zoro wanking threads.
Here is a poll asking if Luffy low diffs Zoro

Don't tell me that isn't a Zoro hate take. It is as ridiculous as the Zoro wank take of Zoro being on the higher/same tier of Luffy.
Sure, Zoro fanbase outnumbers any individual fanbase here.
But every other major fanbase hates Zoro - Luffy, Sanji, Law fanbases all hate Zoro. Don't tell me those fanbases collectively don't heavily outnumber the Zoro fans here.
Only Yonko, admiral and misc (basically Doffy/Croc/Lucci etc) fanbases are kinda neutral to Zoro.

Zoro being on the same tier as Luffy is not a ridiculous wanker take, compare their performance against the same opponent in the same arc and you can see that.

Luffy is basically a clone of Goku and that is done willingly since DB introduced that kind of MC (or at least it was the first manga to have such a popular MC of that kind) and Oda and many others based their MC on Goku. Luffy heavily resembles Goku, that is also perfect for the tone of One piece. Then they both have their downsides: Goku was not a great father because he dedicated his time to fighting/training to the point you can say Junior/Piccolo is a better fatherly figure for Gohan than Goku.. Luffy on the other hand acts as a retarded.. 99.9% of the time despite being the captain and so the one responsible for the safety of the crew, yet plot armor saves him and the crew each time (WCI where half the crew humiliated BM plus Luffy took his sweet time fighting Katakuri who otherwise would have been trapped in the mirror world, to make an example). But actually given the defects Goku could be better, Goku at least is not like Luffy who pursues his desires before the safety of other people, you could say Vegeta did that by letting Cell get to his perfect form to satisfy his ego (but instead bet beaten like a carpet).
