I’m not buying the triple cross routine for Kanjuro just yet, so...

Izo can probably lay a stronger claim to being a Scabbard than Shinobu since he was one of the original retainers, but he’s been a member of the Whitebeard family longer than the Kozuki clan by this point. Shinobu came into the organization later than Izo, but she’s filled his absence quite well and is still very loyal to her masters. Doesn’t hurt that she was present at the Scabbards’ sendoff (and also remained in Wano the last two decades), so I’ll pick her over him.

Some think Shinobu is more fitting since she was at the first battle against Kaido

My feelings have evidently changed very little in three months...
Izo and @Chrono ’s nipple are both great suggestions, I can kinda see either one making sense. Shinobu has been on the fringe this entire time, so bringing her to the forefront would also be defensible.

That being said, what if it’s Momo? He’s slated to become shogun, sure, but he’s still just a frightened kid with a lot to prove; standing up to the tyrannical monsters who murdered his father and destroyed his entire life is a monumental first step towards getting there. The Udon prisoners recognized him as their guiding light, and Luffy already believes he’s experienced enough to be treated as an adult...would he have much of an impact in the raid? Of course not. That doesn’t mean he can’t contribute SOMETHING in his current state, or find some deeply buried confidence and lead the forces in his father’s name.

Did you stop reading after Momo’s name? Think I pointed out two or three times how he isn’t anywhere near the same level as his father.
I read it, but I disagree, Sure they may see him and his worth but that's a future Momo, not the Momo we have right now... If Oda decides to do a twist and actually had a talk with Kanjuro and changed his mind, that would bring a whole new light to me for him.

As for you're 2nd paragraph, I find that irrelevant as I can talk about my own thoughts as well, even if it's been repeated.

Yeah, seems like you and I disagree on a lot of things. I’ve seen some people posit that Kanjuro could be triple crossing Orochi, in which case a forceful reminder of what Oden did for him and the time they all spent together may have some sort of impact coming from the guy’s son.

Feel free to not agree on this part either, but I’ve wondered in the past if Toki’s DF powers only work for so long, and anyone she uses them on (other than herself) will experience some sort of biological catching up after a trip through time. It would augur poorly for Kin’emon, Raizo, and Kiku to suddenly age 20 years in an instant, but the positive effects would be two-pronged in that Kanjuro would also gain two decades of deleterious effects on his body/mind AND Momo would suddenly be 28, bigger, more powerful, and capable of more rational thinking than he is now. Before you eviscerate this as you are often wont to do, know that it’s just a theory based on little concrete evidence, not something I’m adamant will happen.

Not a fan. I'd much prefer if Bonney showed up and did the same if anything... It's an interesting take though.
