It's that time of the year again. Choose wisely. There will be no changing of the votes. I'll leave the poll open for a few months tho.

My prediction is from a few months ago

I had posited previously that the Gods will win the next round and take the lead again then humans win 2 then Gods tie it up and then humans win the final round and win. Of course under the assumption that there are 13 fights and that humans win. That way each side would take the lead 3 times when a draw occurred. I can't see the Greeks going 1-4I was pretty sure the Gods would win round 9 even before we knew the fighters and I am even more sure now. Apollo gets the W.

Continuation - Thus Okita wins this one.

There could be a meta reason for Okita winning.
The bloke appears to be the exact same character from another manga from this mangaka called Requiem of the Shogun. Okita is an important character in that manga and his presence here might be some big crossover between the two mangas. Dunno if the mangaka would want to kill off Okita in this setting, especially if he put Okita in RoR in order to get his Requiem readers over. Lol.

The one thing I am kinda iffy about is that two Japanese characters are against each other lol.

if Susanno was fighting almost anyone else, I'd favor him just because of the Japanese thing.... but i feel like round 10 was destined to be a human victory as soon as Tesla and Leonidas lost

Yeah I was thinking the same thing lmao. If he were up against literally anyone else he'd prolly get the W.

the unfortunate thing about a manga like RoR is that some fighters are just destined to win and some are just destined to lose.

Like, no way Buddha would have lost, and it felt like Qin had to win because the other Chinese guy lost.

Unfortunately no. I still haven't caught up. Lol. I didn't like the look of the Apollo vs Leonidas match so I decided to read some books I bought recently instead. I've just finished End of the Megafauna by Ross D.E. MacPhee so I could catch up on RoR but I'm going to be honest, this matchup doesn't really interest me either. I was hoping Anubis was coming up since he looks kinda cool but nah, I'll probably wait till Round 11 since somebody that I actually want to see will surely turn up then. :milaugh:

Yeah Buddha's win was guaranteed. Like there was absolutely no way he would lose. Like negative chance lmao.

Susano looks better than the human bum
Rayan supporting Susano.

Say your goodbyes now Susano fans

That's probably like at least 6 or so months away lmao. I don't know that book tho. Is it good?

I can wait. :pepecroc:

Besides, the mangaka might throw me a bone and reveal Rasputin's design during this match for whatever reason. Lol. I mostly want to see more of Rasputin, Hayha, Odin, Anubis and Loki (in that order of preference) from here on out. :shocking:

I consider it an excellent book on the subject matter that it covers, that being the end Pleistocene extinctions that occurred across the world during the last 50,000 years that chiefly affected megafaunal creatures (look at the beasties in my signature if you fancy a look).

If you aren't interested in that subject though then there isn't much to be excited about other than a collection of nice illustrations by paleo artist Peter Schouten that you could probably find online for free anyway. Lol.

Yeah I am looking forward to Rasputin too. The only design we don't know. Will it be revealed now tho? I doubt it tbh lol. But who knows.

To be honest I am more of a fiction guy, so yeah this isn't really my cup of tea I'd say.

See, while I think Okita could definitely win, I still pick Sus in the end for two reasons:

1. The humans never had much luck against opponents of the same class.

Warrior vs Warrior: Thor wins.
The Father of Humanity vs The Godfather of Cosmos: Zeus wins.
Athlete vs Athlete: Shiva wins.
Scientist vs Scientist: Beel wins.
Manly vs Macho: Apollo wins.

Slayer vs Slayer? Yeah, I don't like Okita's chances. This will make the next two matches predictable, but what can I say?

2. Japan already lost a combined total of 8 Gods. If Sus loses, literally every Japanese God participating takes the L. I feel like that would be a bold move for Japanese mangakas for a story made primarily for a Japanese audience. At least the Nordic Gods already take 1 W with Thor, so if Loki and Odin go down, no one will complain. And I doubt there is anybody left on earth who still worships Anubis, so him going down is ok.
