Either Luffy has fully mastered it, which is why he is not using it.

We see Zoro using Enma Practicing with it on live Opponents, so Luffy not using it on live opponents such as Uti and Page one makes no logical sense.

Unless he has fully mastered it completely and it is far far stronger than we think.

Gear 4 by its very definition wastes stamina and haki, more than his base form, so that excuse does not work. Zoro is using a haki draining Enma Sword against many fodder so that proves how illogical Luffy not using Advanced Armament Haki is.

Zoro tamed Enma , and hasn't been shown using an haki move against those gifters... So he is not wasting no Hakis , he even saves it. And about Luffy advanced COA , maybe he just keeps it for Kaido scales or Big Mom iron body. Plus Ulti needed hype

Gear 4 by defitnition uses a lot more haki a d stamina than base form Luffy.

Advanced haki is more effecient. There is no excuse for Luffy not using it.

To counter advanced CoA, the enemy also needs to use advanced CoA. Advanced CoA ignores durability, but if one also covers his/her body with advanced CoA, then the attack can't ignore bonus durability from target's advanced CoA.



Thus Oda doesn't want to reveal that Ulti has advanced CoA so soon.
Oda saved Luffy's face for 2 reasons:
1. Now advanced CoA seems like an ultra rare move but if Oda reveals Ulti also has it then Luffy will lose face.
2. If Luffy uses advanced CoA for the first time and it's already not effective, just like 1 round of G4 was ineffective against Doffy, and first G3 move didn't KO Lucci, then Luffy will also lose his face again.
Thus Oda will make Luffy use it effectively, against opponent that doesn't have advanced CoA to counter Luffy's, and most likely it will be 1 of the Number.
