Questions & Mysteries Why do people believe Sanji will fight a Yonko commander this arc?

Title speaks for itself. Sanji is YC4 of the crew and will at most be as strong as a YC2 at the end of the series (Due to being a member of PK's crew).
He is bound to fight against Daifuku and reach to level of a YC4 at the end of Wano. Oda did not bring Daifuku for no reason, he slapped Pudding in front of Sanji and manhandled him during the wedding. It is a revenge match-up.
He has no business with YCs right now, he is not remotely close to them in terms of power level. Why do people keep pushing it?

The illusion that he is still anywhere Zoro's level. That is why.

Oda seems to be building up a connection between Queen and him. With Queen outright stating that Sanji and Zoro should be his top priority ("it's best to take out their second and third strongest fighters). That plus the fact that Sanji's first significant clash at Onigashima was against King.

Sanji already clashed with half of the Flhing Six and now those opponents are taken or have joined the alliance. Maybe it seems optimistic but I think Sanji will take face a Calamity in a drawn-out fight. People who say Sanji will face a Calamity aren't really focused on power-levels. Water 7 Sanji could barely budge Blueno's tekkai then went on against the 3rd strongest of CP-9 who specialises in it. Of course this isn't pre-timeskip One Piece but the concept of power-levels not mattering that much is still around.

Oda had Sanji clash against Page One then he left that opponent to Usopp. He's entrusting Usopp to watch over Nami in his place despite Usopp not beating any opponent near Page One in strength before and Oda also had Sanji clash with King despite Sanji rarely facing anyone that strong yet he had Sanji's suit's features emphasised in that clash as well as in the Page One clash. The suit boosted his durability greatly and gave him invisibility. We'll all see soon enough who Sanji faces.

Maybe Daifuku will show up in Onigashima and Sanji will focus on him rather than opponents Oda already has in the area. Maybe Oda will have Sanji take Page One off Usopp's hands after Sanji put his faith in Usopp but I doubt it. Personally, I think Sanji's facing a Calamity and maybe I'll be disappointed but I don't think so.

It is not a matter of maybe. It is certain that Sanji will focus on Daifuku. No one is left to care of him and he is strong enough to push Sanji beyond extreme difficulty.

I think people kind of woke up from that illusion and are just trolling. However, they need to accept that he will always be weaker than Yamato and Jinbei too. He is YC4 of the crew and is bound to stay that way. He has no business with Yonko Commanders when plenty of Supernovas and other high tiers are around. Daifuku is his match-up and beating him will push Sanji to YC4 level.

He’ll end up fighting someone powerful, but the contingency of the fandom that thinks he’s still roughly equal to Zoro has completely lost the thread of reality. Plenty of them love to claim that Zoro doesn’t have any post timeskip feats that would imply he’s earned what we’re seeing this arc; what they fail to acknowledge is how all Sanji has done since Fishman Island is lose to Vergo, defeat some Gifters on Zou, and bake a cake for Big Mom while getting dunked on by his estranged family. Where do you find a YC-level fighter there, huh?? There have long been tiers on the SHP in terms of who’s stronger than who; it’s just time to accept that Zoro has ascended up those ranks whereas Sanji is, at best, still where he and the swordsman began in the New World :kayneshrug:

There is no YC1, YC2, YC3, etc. This is just fan made nonsense for powerscaling. There are Yonkos, commanders, and lower subordinates.

That being said, Luffy and Zoro are dealing with Kaido. It makes sense for the other monster trio member, The Prince, to fight a strong opponent which happens to be a commander. And yes, Sanji is ready for that kind of an opponent.

Sanji breaks zoro's neck.

Sanji fighting King and Queen is a more realistic power jump than 90% of the characters in this arc. Then again this is the same site that pretends Sanji didn't absolutely demolish Page One.

And just for reference: using Punk Hazard/Dressrosa to scale current Sanji would be like using Alabasta to scale the Strawhats during Part 1 Sabaody.
