Akainu is not new gen. Koby is the new gen marine. Akainu is mid gen same as shanks , doffy , mihawk etc.

I don't know if half the people even know who this guy is
If there is a lack of opponents then maybe he can fight someone on Luffy's side and lose in a shitty 1 chapter fight like Jack did or we just hear he retired.

I just see this guy turning into king kong and beating a couple of fodders until some ally maybe a Coby or something comes forward and says leave him to me.
We cut from them and comeback 20 chapters later to a sloppy 1 chapter fight where he gets defeated with a couple of shots without showing more than 1-2 named moves.
