Current Events Why Shanks (chp 1054) prioritize handling Bartolomeo over meeting Luffy?

I mean:

1. Did Oda mess up his writing with this? Shanks is just here since Oda wanna promote Film Red?

2. Or Shanks truly didn't know that meeting Luffy may be the best way to deal with Barto indirectly? Since you know Barto will obey whatever Luffy says including not to mess with his inspiration and most importantly not to mess with the character with Hiko Seijuro's Voice Actor?

3. Shanks wanna avoid Luffy since it'll be full on confrontation and he want Laugh Tale to be the stage and One Piece to be the stake of their fight instead of here and now (Wano, chapter 1054)?

4. Shanks is actually much weaker than we think? He just deal with everything by outsmarting stuff, and thats why Ben Beckmann deal with all combat-related stuff?

5. Etc others?

For some reason he doesnt want to meet Luffy yet,and the Bartolomeo thing is just an excuse he gives to his crew. By the way yeah he appeared for marketing reasons,but not only to promote the movie Red,but also to make appear a popular character like him in the return of One Piece after the 1 month-break. When Shanks appears people always talk about him a lot. He is so popular that one time i've heard from a Youtuber that he and his other Youtuber friends often uses Shanks in the thumbnail of their videos because every video with Shanks in the thumbnail always makes the double of the viewers of the other videos. So i can totally immagine the editor telling Oda "This chapter with only Ryokugu,Samurai,and the revelations of some Reverie events isnt enough after the 1 month-break. Make also a big character like Shanks appear" so he did it.

Shanks knew that Luffy didnt just promise to meet him but also that he would have a better crew. That is a challenge that can only be tested through well.. competetion.

Barto just set him up nicely.

People making a big deal out of this but it’s very simple
Luffy haven’t obtained his dream yet, finding one piece and becoming the pirate king, and their promise was to meet after he achieved this dream

We've no idea who Imu is, Imu could be even a princess that needs to be saved by Luffy like this:



Even Buggy become a Yonko, people don't need to individually powerful to be on powerful positions in One Piece. Orochi is another example. And Yonko position should be even more difficult than Imu's position considering Pirates are some violent criminals that don't even have any moral code.

The promise was they met when Luffy is a great pirate and the crew already said Luffy is a great pirate. This is not the reason :P

Feels like a throw away excuse from Shanks he just doesn’t want their meeting to happen right here and probably wants it to be in battle for the one piece, at least that’s how I interpreted that scene.

Is just a excuse for he to move to the place he and Luffy will meet, but we know Oda just had to put him in the chapter for RED
