We recently saw in chapter #1136 that Loki was invited to the Holy Knights and, according to Gunko in chapter #1137, it seems like it isn't something that happens too often (or maybe it never happened).

However, Loki was introduced as a madman (chapter #1130). Even if it isn't completely true, this info is probably the most the WG know about him too.

Why would they want such a man not only in their ranks, but also as a HOLY KNIGHT (basically, a privileged CD)? I can only think of one thing: power. They aren't caring about collateral damage anymore, they just want to have the most powerful assets possible. Big Mom also said in the past that she would be able to beat all her rivals, including Whitebeard, if she managed to get Elbaf to her side. After Vegapunk's transmission, the WG will probably take the offensive and try to submit the world through force and fear.

So, people, how do you feel about this?

I believe the World Government was pretty much carefree up until the Point Luffy's devil fruit awakened. They didn't seem to care much about Roger becoming the Pirate King etc. Because, in the end, even they couldn't change anything. We have yet to learn if Roger even knew about I'm Sama's existence at all. Rayleigh never lost a word about that, for example.

But, now things look different. Besides the Revolutionary Army, which gathers alot of allies around the world, Luffy rallies many people around him. This special power that Mihawk acknowledged during MarineFord seems to bother the WG, and before they recruit everyone to their side, the WG might as well try to do the same.

We still have that unresolved Doflamingo assassination plot going on, but what if they changed plans and tried to recruit them instead? All Impel Down Prisoners / Dofi / Maghellan etc., for a promised price. Actually, that could even be a possibility for the Cross Guild. Now that would be funny, when Holy Knights come to Impel Down to recruit people, only to find empty cells.

Yes, I think they're becoming more aggressive, although not desperate.

Tbf Loki was chained there for years. They probably thought it would be easy to get him to accept if only because he would want freedom (low cost for a strong ally on their side).

Plus maybe they could've used him to get Elbaf somehow - like maybe using his knowledge of the kingdom to conquer it and maybe installing him as a puppet king.

You are right, the WG doesn't seem to be in maximum panic mode, yet. Even after I'm Sama felt that Haki blast from Joyboy during Egghead Island, their confidence is still up. I doubt it's just because of the MotherFlame, there must be something else.

Tbf they do have the most numerous forces and more top tiers than any faction.

Plus whatever Imu is, he can grant immortality and powers to his allies.

It's also possible that Imu himself is the herald of something even greater, like that monster from the mural. Which would also explain it.

Yeah, the Seraphim are still a wild card to me just like Loki is right now. We don't know their full potential yet.

The Mural is a good point. If Imu can indeed turn into one of the monstrous things, their confidence is really justified. I mean they won before too.

No, they're instead begging a 2.8 billion bounty pirate to join them, even after all the warlords weren't loyal to them. The WG can't be saved at this point. Anyone who cares about the WG and has initiative like Saint Saturn, will get replaced the second it's revealed that they took a risk centuries ago, is at risk of being of murdered in a childish tantrum, only to be replaced with a useless mediocrity like Garland. If I was one of the other Gorosei, I would have stopped giving a fuck.
