If one of their commanders was going to be executed?

Given that Kaido hasn't done shit to retrieve Joker so far and just get drunk and cry about how It's a shame he got captured;

Let's assume YAMATO is captured and about to be executed, would he go?

Would Shanks go if it was Yasopp,Roo or Beckman?

Would Bigmom go if it was any of her children?

Kaido and Big Mom would have gone but to Impel Down rather than to Marineford or preferred to intercept the convoy rather than to risk so much in a war at Marineford.

If not Big Mom may went for Pudding, while Kaido would have gone to do the greatest war of all times that he craves so much.

Shanks would have probably done the same thing than Whitebeard.

Well it would obviously entirely depends on their personalities.

Whitebeard considered Ace's life as very important, Shanks would have allegedly done the same. The others? Don't think so in all honesty, more possibly Big Mom however. Since it wasn't just a matter of respect, the war had a much deeper significance for Shirohige.

No other yonko except maybe Kaido would've gone to MF except WB.

In order to understand this, first you have to understand why the MF war even happened and what the meaning behind it was.
I think like 90% of the one piece fanbase didn't really get the point nor the meaning behind the MF war.

The marines are not the ones who wanted to wage war nor did they want to wipe out WB.
The marines simply wanted to make a statement by killing Ace publicly and therefore erasing the bloodline of the pirate king.
The idea behind the statement that Sengoku wanted to make was: "We are going to publicly kill the son of the most dangerous pirate ever who is also the underling of the man regarded as the strongest yonko and nobody can stop us from doing so."

Though even so Sengoku didn't want to wage war and the best outcome would've been if WB didn't show up, he still anticipated that WB is gonna declare war on them. But either way the marines would've created their image of being invincible because had WB done nothing the world would've seen/thought that a yonko doesn't dare go up against the Navy even if it means one of their men would be publicly executed but if WB would show up Sengoku can further prove that the Navy is not scared of facing anyone and will also wipe out anyone who dares to stand in their way, which is what happened ultimately.

Going to MF to wage war against the entire Navy HQ is suicide for any yonko and WB also knew that. Though he still went there for a few reasons.
1. He wanted Ace to live and become the PK 2. the "public" execution of Ace was a huge provocation towards WBs reputation as a yonko and 3. he was already in such bad health condition he had nothing to lose anymore anyways and wanted to use that situation to go out with a bang

Gorosei's bitch would not want to upset the WG by declaring war against the marines and since he knows he would die doing this and it seems like he still has plans for/in the world he wouldn't do anything about it.

Big Mom, even so she joined Kaido currently in his war madness, so far seemed to be more thoughtful of her actions (since she wanted to create a giant army first before taking on the other yonko) and she probably also knows going up against the Navy is not gonna end well for her so i don't see her doing anything either.

The only other yonko except WB i could see going to MF to wage war is Kaido cause he is downright suicidal.

Imagine thinking that Kaido wouldn't go to MF to rescue his daughter ...
Even though she dressed in ODEN and challenged him countless times, he still wants to make her the WANO Shogun.

So he still feels something for her.

WB didn't go to MF to win the war, he went there to free ace and die in the process while stalling the marines so his men can escape with Ace.

Kaido is not stupid, he knows he would die going to MF just like WB knew. That's the reason why Kaido even tried to get to MF... he wanted to take WBs head and then basically go out with a bang.

The Beast Pirates could not have won the war had they switched for the WB Pirates.

Marine and Shichibukai featured something like 6 top tiers at least by pulling all together.

WB is a coward! Headcanon what you said, the navy never managed to kill Kaido.
This is canonical, so "Kaido knew he would die does not exist".


There is a reason, but the reason can be personal between kaido and WB ... Kaido wants to cause the biggest war there is, and do you think he'll go to one and then run away from it? LOL. Take WB's head and leave hahahaha ... Yes, he is going out with the Navy HQ in the air.
