Random big guy with Yamato kimono
It could be, but my biggest thoughts regarding to Yamato is.
- Kaido admit if Yamato is his son.
- So this could lead to Yamato being a biological son of Kaido, or he is the 3rd child of Oden and Toki.
- So as a sign of respect, Kaido adopted Yamato as his "Son".

Thats mean, the relationship between Yamato and Kaido isn't just a partner. Is deeper than just a partner.

Yamato might had a blood-bond with Kaido or Yamato might be adopted by Kaido.
Are we led to believe Kaido is the type of person who calls people son when they aren't actually his son?

I mean isnt that Whitebeard's thing? The same whitebeard Kaido very much despised. Why is Kaido now the type of person who also calls adopted kids son?

It doesn't have the mon that Yamato, which seems to be an important identifier in Japanese culture.

Could still be him, but it's an interesting difference between the two looks.
Isn't that the point? I thought the general theory is that Yamato has the that and the Shackles on his arms in admiration of Oden and his death

Well he wouldn't be a fan of Oden BEFORE this scene would he?
