There's this misconception characters necessarily need to fight off imposing opponents to increase their power levels exponentially, but Teach is the proof of how that's not necessarily mandatory, 2 DFs notwithstanding. Of course Zoro will probably fight these opponents and eat no devil fruit.

I believe that Issho might switch sides last minute or even earlier than last minute, there's a lot of foreshadowing for that. Nevertheless, he might still clash swords with Issho for a bit too despite not necessarily defeat him and defeat Kizaru instead. I don't pay too much attention to the movie because I seriously doubt that Sabo will ever take on Lucci, for instance. And not just that one.
