Current Events Zoro Carrying Luffy throughout the Raid. Oda Implying Equality?

#1
Zoro's timeskip training was for the purpose of being strong enough to protect his captain (Luffy).

Oda has hammered this point in the Onigashima raid. Zoro has literally and figuratively been carrying Luffy throughout the Raid. He has been protecting him every step of the way. Some examples below;

Zoro warning Luffy about Apoo's attack, Luffy KO'd by Apoo and Zoro Carrying Luffy away even though he was cut by Apoo. Zoro was also defending from long range attacks whiles carrying Luffy.

Zoro saving Luffy from Big Mom's heavenly fire.
Zoro saving Luffy from Kaido's Boro breath
Zoro saving Luffy from Big Mom after his G4 runs out.
Zoro saving Luffy from literally getting chomped alive by Kaido
Zoro saving Luffy from Kaido's wind scythes.

These are the instances. Is Oda Implying a form of equality from these? If Zoro wasn't strong enough, would he have been able to save Luffy from Kaido and BM?

This does not seem to be the end because next chapter, it is almost certain that Zoro will be protecting Luffy even more.

Edit; Inb4 people start bringing in Sanji, don't forget he failed to protect Luffy from ministers (not even Yonkou). He was hit by Yuen , saved by Ichiji and saved by Niji.

No. That’s like saying Luffy, Kid and Law are equals because they’ve been portrayed dramatically standing next to each other.

Or that Sanji was equal to Luffy for rescuing him from the mirror

It shows that Zoro will, as he always has done, look out for Luffy. It’s got nothing to do with powerlevels, and everything to do with the relationship between the two characters.

Yet non of them have those feats that Zoro has so an analogy cannot be drawn that way

Sanji failed. Ichiji and Niji saved him

If he wasn't strong enough, would he have been able to save Luffy consistently?

Nah
It just shows that Zoro is the perfect first mate :finally::finally:
But can anyone protect Luffy in these situations? Of course not.

This means an aspect of power must be present. How many pwoole weaker than Luffy can save him from Kaido's tornado and Kaido's chomp?

Was Law equal to Dressrosa Luffy lol?

Saving Luffy in itself isn't implying any power scaling. But it does show Zoro's aim for the training is being fulfilled.

I'm guessing near the end Zoro will save Luffy in a big way. Like thriller bark but this time with fighting rather than offering himself.
If it doesn't imply powerscaling, that would mean anyone in the crew or Supernova would be able to replicate it....do you agree with that?

But TB is prime for powerscaling

Yep thats it, agree here.

I feel bad for Zoro kinda right now. While he shows impressive feats and is portrayed strong AF, shows does he absolutely deserves to be Luffys first mate, he gets so overhyped right now by his fandom, that it kinda backslashes and discredits his real feats here. Feels like his own fandom is shitting on his real feats and portray him weaker then he is, by absolutely trolloverhyping.

But at topic: It doesnt show equality. There is no point on why someone carrying someone else implies equality. It happened often that luffy got carried away by other people when exhausted.
