we have people in one piece world who are said to be legends ...

and we have people in one piece who are Everlasting Legend ... people who will be remembered for a LONG time (+100 years at least)

Roger and Ryuma are 2 OBVIOUS examples

this people will be remembered for a LONG time

but who .... among the great people of This Era will be remembered for more than a 100 years ?

I add Teach , Big Mom and Kaido to the list as well but no other from past or future

tbh .... I think Dragon fame should be no less than Luffy

he's the Leader of New Era in history ... that's WHOLE other level of fame ... he's the man who will determine what should remain for world and what should be forgotten (if he wants)

I don't know I put Shanks because of his connections with the highest authority celestial dragons
Mihawk, him and ryuma are the only known black blade users, worlds strongest swordsmen, whoever will be carrying that sword probably zoro I guess, it would be special
Teach( no question, will go down as luffys greatest and last rival) just like how Rocks was rogers was First and Greatest rival

why should history remember the name of Kizaru per say?

we are talking about names who will be respected for more than a century

like Ryuma who's been worshiped like a god
or Roger who became first pirate king / highest bounty in last 800 years in pirate world


maybe Kizaru can be named in some random book about Marine
but will young Marine of next 100 years be aware of who he was?

Why history will remember Kizaru you ask? IDK maybe because an admiral? He individual in important position and a lot of power.
Are you taking Rocks for precedence? Rocks is the only one who was removed from history by the Goverment, his crew are all remembered.
As for the averge people I assume most won't care so they might don't know but no reason for anyone in your list to not be remembered (well, the Gorosei seem to plan a "cleaning" so history might be temperd again but this diffrent topic than your theard try to touch).

The averge people in One Piece seem ignorant to the ways of their world, but anyone who care about history would want to know who were the admirals in Marineford war for exemple.
Another exemple is Mihawk, do you actually believe all of those who have interest in swordmanship / swords wouldn't know about master swordsman of the past? Let alone the WSS who possess superme grade sword like Mihawk?
Also remember people are often ignorant about their world in fiction as plot tool for the autor so they can have exuse to explain things about their world, I won't take this seriously. like Dark King ... that every living person heard his name at least once ...

People only know about Rayleigh because he was Roger right-hand and everyone know about Roger because he responsible foe the Great Pirate era

I doubt Rayleigh will keep his level fame 100 years in the future.

surely you can agree most people in the list can't make it as well

I think there will only be a couple legends.

The yonko - imo the entity of what the yonko are will be legendary not the actual yonko themselves. Like I think even 100 + years in the future some will talk about the yonko but not a specific 1.

Dragon - dragon will be legendary solely based off if he succeeds in over throwing the WG. The feat of being a central figure in the take over of the WG will still be talked about 100+ years and his name will probably be etched in history because of this.

Mihawk - being WSS and only the second in op history with that title ( ryuma being first) may keep mihawks name relevant in 100 years. If swordsmanship is still huge primary fighting style in the op world in 100 years then mihawk being the wss of his generation could keep him legendary in history.

BB - if has a xebec moment where he's on pace to take the world over and only luffy stopped him then he will be legendary. Xebec would be legendary had the marines not made a concerted effort to hide information about him. Without the navy's involvement BB could still be remembered a a force that could have taken over world unlike with xebec where this is gonna die out with garp's gen.

about Mihawk ... will he be remembered that much when Zoro surpassed him in everyway and beat him in relatively young age?
and it's without a doubt that at some point Zoro will be surpassed himself ... no one can stay at top forever

and don't think POWER is enough to make someone name everlasting
I doubt Whitebeard himself can be remembered for that long

achievements are way safer factor
