That's a finishing move. I want to see him work on his base form, it seems oda is also going this way, first by giving him fs, then advanced coa and we saw G4 isn't always enough against strong opponents.
He has to be able to fight decently against yonko in his base form and inflict damage if he wants to defeat them.
G4 will always have a time limit if it's stayed haki based, because haki is finite. But if he can use it several hours in a row, it's already a big improvement. That's why his base form and his G2 and G3 have to become stronger.

or let G4 becomes his base like he did with g2/g3....G4 has excellent defense form/offence form/speed form...imagine switching between them...too bad Oda limited that form to just 20-30 minutes which is laughable and more ironically he improved his FS after that hard fight and couldn't even improve the time limit of G4 forum.....anyways it was not the first time Oda gave extreme backlash for all the forms Luffy invented....

I am also eagerly waiting for his awakening since his fight from Doflamingo and Katakuri....Luffy hitting top tier range without awakening yet..i was wondering what Oda going to do with Luffy awakening....
My short theory will be Luffy removes g2/g3 from his system and he will have only two forms
1) Gear stacking of g2/g3 with haki and no drawback and well controlled G4 and switching of forms on whim with advanced haki as a base form
2) Awakening combined with advanced haki
No comments on about what CoC can do yet.....

Well to be honest. We know one can become a top tier without any devil fruit, solid examples... Shanks and Garp... especially Garp who doesn't use any kind of weapon and consider equal to the pirate king himself.
I simply don't think that Luffy with advance Haki of Rayleigh level is enough to go against Kaido.. my bet currently is that Luffy gonna make his CoA even stronger to ultimately surpassing Rayleigh CoA and even Rayleigh himself in the process.
In the next Arc we might see Luffy progress in CoC and making it even more strong, And in the awakening.

Yeah, it is kinda obvious which is why Oda may take a different route and give awakening instead of CoC. I think CoC is reserved for endgame.
But before that I just want Luffy to have cool sky splitting panel with either Kaido or BigMom....it is always cool and badass whenever two CoC users clash each other.

It is not coincidence but sometimes Oda does some things for no reason....lol....anyways..it may also mean that how far Luffy is compared to other Yonko....there is an other thing that BB bounty is still 2.3 billion...so Luffy can't surpass his bounty yet unless BB does something before Luffy defeats Kaido...

No, I think Oda trying to show that Luffy has no more business with YCs or warlords and it's time for Luffy to go against yonkou and top them... no matter what Luffy level currently is, Luffy meant to surpass all yonkou and even roger himself without any time skip so I think wano is the head start for Luffy to become yonkou level.
A character become strong as story demands them to be so no matter how much we think that Luffy still is not ready is a waste of time, to be honest.
And I don't think there is any issue with Luffy having higher bounty than his opponent... and we know blackbeard is also up to something right now so good chances something might happen but it's not far fetched Luffy having higher bounty than Blackbeard,

I will believe the same...the moment Luffy defeated Katakuri and the moment the Luffy got 1.5 billion bounty clearly meant that Luffy didn't have any business with YC's.....this is why even when Jack appeared, it is Kaido that Luffy fought...and even when Luffy trying to use ryou was against BigMom instead of Queen...

I mean Luffy and katakuri fight was set like that... where Luffy best Katakuri in everything... like his own image but better, so Luffy tried to overcome Katakuri who was his own image but with Blackbeard its different case..
To be precise... I think Blackbeard gonna be one opponent who's Luffy gonna fight while having higher powers and bounty to kinda show us that Luffy is no longer the same underdog he was before against his enemies.

yeah...my gut feeling is that Luffy is near BB level when he fights him....there is no need for Oda to go in that "far below villain" route like he was when he fought with Katakuri...it will be more like Luffy vs Lucci....I don't think Luffy will go as an underdog anymore after Wano
I don't think Oda gives two big power ups in the same arc especially when adCoA works like a hax.....I don't mind either way

If the confrontation happens, there is 100% chance that it does some damage..now, it won't be fatal but at least there will be some damage otherwise there is no point in pitting them each other again if Oda wants to repeat the same scenario as in Udon....and if he can penetrate, there is a high chance that he can penetrate and damage a bit more against Kaido as BigMom durability is comparable or even a bit more than Kaido durability
