this chapter is so crazy when you realize people were laughing cause zoro was tag teaming apoo.

I think that imbued CoC adds "mental pressure" to the physical damage. Like, if the attack is strong enough to make the opponent dizzy, the mental pressure from CoC could give him an extra push over the edge and KO him. Plus we saw Shanks damaging WB's ship, so maybe CoC has also a physical impact which also boost the physical AP.

This CoC attack reminds me a little bit of Gon from HxH, where he borrowed power from his "future" self for the present.

I think CoC attacks come at a mental/phyical cost. You are draining yourself NOW, to make your current attack stronger. Maybe even a bit like Gear 4.

Put it this way Pretimeskip off the top of my head in the grandline had about 12-15 islands and around 500 chapters. Post Time Skip has half the amount of islands, same amount of chapters. Too many supporting characters

Also most straw hats had proper fights without bloating anything. Too many supporting characters is one of my complaint about post-ts. It's cool to have side characters but I don't think addding dozens of new supporting characters every arc is the way go

I always knew that Luffy vs Kaido is going to happen in the skies or sky island. The reason being, is that both Kaido and Luffy can't go all out at the top of the dome. We can joke around of how strong the dome is since it hasn't collapsed yet, dispite the damage it took. But, if Oda wants to make Luffy vs Kaido be an epic fight, then he has to show the power of their attacks through damage they make. You can't do that at the top of the dome, especially when both Kaido and Luffy can fly; on the other hand if Kaido and Luffy fight in the skies that would allow to truly separate Big Mom from Kaido.

But Battle sky would only separate Big Mom from them IFFF her homies (prometheus and Zeus) are not with her... and even then, we're not sure if she can make a new cloud or fire to fly with again

But what Gon did had consequences beyond the end of the fight. I don't see why CoC should be so taxing. A higher stamina consumption when used without long term consequences seems enough.
