He was extensively impressed by the way he tackled Hakai
He even admitted Zoro allegedly left him a scar

Zoro obviously did heavy lifting. I am impressed by Zoro, the fact that he used Ashura after really a long time. He'd score A for sure. But imo it's still not enough.

so far Zoro is a low diff for Kaido, at best mid diff if ashura land
Zoro strongest attack can only push Kaido to mid diff if it landed, while Kaido can finish Zoro with a direct hit from thunder bagua, TB would at the very least knock him out temporarily, then Kaido finish him by crushing his brain
Kaido didn't try to blitz Zoro with TB, but most likely he can, Zoro didn't show the feats to say he can dodge an attack Luffy barely dodged with FS

First this is untrue since Kaido is most likely still thinking about Zoro given he still mentions Oden with such frequency despite 20 years have gone unless you just mean about present actions, second it would of been irrelevant to the subject matter

@CbShadow i will use your thread but this time i will add some modifications to it :
Kaido didn't underestimate Zoro's asura . Asura was just that a casual Top tier which is very fast and overpowered / very stronk .
In the top right scene we see a big black "dot" and 2 small black dots together in the distance. That is Kaido, Zoro and Law. That gives us an idea of the distance between Kaido and them.
The next page shows the clash between Asura Zoro and hybrid Kaido who apparently said
« No » .
- Zoro warned Kaido from a distance .
- Kaido noticed him .
- Zoro enters asura mode.
- Zoro moves and appears in front of Kaido in an instant which surprises Kaido.
( The middle scene with Kaido's face shows a little white mark which tells us he was surprised. )
- Zoro and Kaido clashes. Kaido tries to hit Zoro with his clubs attacks but they are unable to injure him because Zoro blocks / deflects all of Kaido's attacks and overpowered him which left Kaido wide open while saying

- Kaido screamed << AHhhhhhhhhhh >> while sweating and panting and having a permanent scar that took place from the intersection of the two scars that Oden left on his abdomen to the left shoulder .
This scene just shows the distance Zoro traveled after he cut Kaido which is used to again display Zoro's incredible speed.
Compare that to Luffy red attack where he was aiming for Kaido's head and all Kaido had to do to evade it was move his head out of the way and maybe part of his upper.
Unfortunately, that also left Luffy open for an attack.
From breaking the 2 encounters down you can see that it was much easier to evade and counter Luffy's attack then Zoro's attack. Zoro also showed greater speed .

Zoro end of story will surpass Mihawk, winning by a centimeter against an opponent that is by definition inferior to Kaido. We don't know how much he is weaker than Mihawk and how much Mihawk is weaker than the Yonko, we don't know how far we are from the end of this Manga.
Considering just what he is capable of and has showed concretely:

- he can dodge his elemental attack
- he can cut through his scales
- make him feel pain
- cause variable internal damage
- he can block briefly a high end attack but he would still be damaged by it
- with his best attack so far he can give him a scar (it was a final attack, even if he was hurt badly, all the final attack are done after a bloodbath, just look at every Luffy fight, he does his best when he is half dead)
When he will show something more effective, I'll update this

you don't see any Luffy fan say : "Luffy isn't all out cause he got hit in the balls by a named attack"
