Let's be honest and look at the power levels realistically:
Prime Oden is a Low Top Tier at the bare minimum with potential room to be even stronger, but it's difficult.
- We know that Oden died to Kaido leaving a scar on his chest, but not an extreme diff fight, which would be the case if Oden was a Mid Top Tier ( considering that 20 years ago Kaido was barely weaker ).
Current Kaido is a High Top Tier, and 20 years ago he either was weaker then he is now ( Low-Mid Top) or he was already in his Prime since the Prime of One piece character's starts around 40 and ends roughly 30 years later.
If Oden died because he was poisoned and that drained on his strength, then he was clearly a Mid Top Tier for me, but if he was defeated in a fair 1v1 by Kaido "only" leaving scar in his dying struggle then he's a Low Top Tier.
That's about it for me.

*WB himself hyped Oden by telling his crew to step back! Remember Teacg telling His crew to stand back? Yup... We know Teach won midd/high diff but Ace wasn't much weaker than Yami Teach. Both were High tiers. Ace and Teach trade blows...
*Then WB states "this is bad" Before they trade blades even.
Then both look Even after the clash.
This is like BM and Kaido... when they first trade blows, you see their eyes , serious, both take a stance and boom...
Same stuff when kata fought Snakeman.
Now I'm not saying 29 y.o Oden = 44 y.o WB nah, but it is more like Yami Teach and Ace where the battle will look high/midd diff .
If Oden was like Chinjao was to Garp or luffy was to Kaido
Oden will be blown back and damaged by WB force.... that's what Oda does when someone is physically weaker or weaker overall.

That's stupid. Bounty would continue to increase as WB exerted dominion over more islands.
Bounty would continue to increase as long as WB continued to exist and thwart Marines. It is a fluid system.
Meaning, WB may have been past his prime when he hit 5 billion, or he may had yet to reach it (but no longer posed any additional threat requiring higher bounty).

Dark King is his epithet. Brook is Soul King, Hancock us Empress... that has nothing to do with PL.
Rayleigh is known as Roger RH. That's Rayleigh hype and portrayal. If he wasnt ex Roger VC, he wouldn't gain that much importance and hype.
I will take WB statement over yours
WB saying it is bad by SEEING Oden tells me Oden isnt way far from him whether WB midd or high diff doesnt matter much here.

Oden sailed 2 years or so with WB, then left and went to Roger for a year... the last 4 years if his life was spent in wano.
Th people remembers him as commanded of WB and as someone who sailed with Roger. Coz that's what he was ! Somehow you expect Oden to be known what? VC?RH? He cant be at all since he joined WB or Roger when they already established their crews...
Almost everyone outside wano, dont even know he is dead or scarred Kaido!
