zoro is the second most important and most popular character
thats what was expected and thats what we got
nami is more popular than sanji.

Doubt. Recency bias can be a huge factor. Look at Jinbe. He was 6th in Japan because the poll took place immediately after the sake cup scene. Now he's dropped all the way out of the top 20 entirely.

Meanwhile Carrot went up in popularity, despite the huge Wano cast and despite having very little panel time throughout the arc. If the previous poll took place right around Sulong action and losing Pedro then I reckon she could've seen even more love at the time.

Oda wanked Oden so much throughout the Wano arc and didn't really focus on Carrot that much, and yet Carrot is ranked 8 and Oden is ranked 24 in the overall rankings of the popularity poll.

In fact in all the countries Carrot is ranked so much higher than Oden, imagine wanking a character so much and trying to force people to like that character only for that character to not only lose in popularity against a character that had barely any focus during the Wano arc but also failing to make it to the top 10.

I mean, we all agree that Carrot is too high, I thought she was going to be 11-13 and I was so happy about this, but 8...
