Luffy is always lucky....but so far gomu gomu is just mid range fruit...Luffy upped it with his creativity....anyways, who's who just messed up in the job and WG punished him....and that fruit happens to be gomu gomu...it is just simple theft case....people just over analyzing things....mochi is already proven to be superior than gomu....
perhaps the stakes in these arcs should get progressively worse/higher
and dealing with top ranked pirates should come with more serious consequences than we have seen in the past
