Admirals shouldn't be slept at true.. but you must give credit where credit is due..
There is no signs of jozu or marco going all out in MF.. even Vista for that fact...

the most i can say is that the admirals and the commanders like marco had steady hand to Hand combat instead of spamming abilities..

Kizaru did use his abilities at various occasions but not in a one v one..

We also know that Vista and Marco came out relatively unscathed...
MF fights were just vague as hell, no haki,no on screen named moves..

so pretimeskio MF isn't the right metric to really gauge Marco

@Seth.. by no means I'm trying to prove that the commanders are over admirals... I'm just pointing out how vague MF fights were.. no on panel combat, no all out fights, just a but of hand to hand and underhanded moves,

but commanders like marco shouldn't be slept on.. since technically he was taking 2 of his peers on for a long period of time.. with no sign of haki used from both sides.

But in a one v one... you bet marco would get the change to cozy up a bit and not worry about another lad coming at him
