His character seems pretty good for me. He had an interesting development during Whole Cake(that's impressive since he was introduced in chapter 43) and still having several points to be worked. I just think that Oda could give a x1 for him in WHC(we're reading a shonen), but i'm fine with the rest of his plot.

The problem is: you guys think that he need to be a blonde Zoro, what is stupid since they have different purposes and different roles in the story.

Pre ts Sanji was badass and seemed strong. But after living with these guys he probably got distracted and weaker

Because Oda doesn't want Sanji to be too popular. If he gives Sanji excellent feats, he will surpass both Zoro and Luffy in popularity. Afterall, even after that highest level of humiliation Sanji got from Oda both as a fighter and as a character, he was still in top 5 and top 3 in japan.

Making a thread like this in some form again and again is truly Fairy Tail-level of thread making. This is basically just another version of "Why was Sanji not on the roof" etc.
It was already mentioned that he did in fact counter Big Mom one time together with G3 Luffy. If Luffy couldn't do it alone, there is no reason why Sanji should look any worse in it.

And it would be silly as heck if Oda had a checklist for things characters would have to do exactly the same so that some part of the fandom doesn't imagine a slight. He would only do that as a joke, but even that joke would be pretty stale by this point.

And people in such places prefer to remember and blow up any minor negative bit or stumble etc., instead of anything he did well, although he was portrayed in WCI and mostly so far that one could throw anything at him and he could counter it, like evade Katakuri seemingly better than Luffy at that point, blitz Oven, who was overall a pretty dangerous dude in the end, with ease, perfectly block that Haki-coated muscle Jinn's weapon strike with a kick, and so on.

People like to cry a lot and talk pointless stuff, it makes one wonder if they really care about him and why they don't just wait and see how his major fight goes right now (in which again he looks like he can counter everything with relative ease, regardless of the usual developments that may follow).

And regarding Vergo: when do people see through their rigid, static rankings. Law also had trouble fighting Vergo 1 on 1, and he is now a lead figure in the Yonko fighting crew.

(And Sanji's timeskip training was a nightmare for him, anyone who thinks because it was a crappy situation for him, he got weaker, isn't thinking straight.)

Oda isn't.......sanji doesn't have AP of zoro or adv coa/coc of luffy......let us see what df ability yamato has.......sanji just like law will be more of a support character in this situations maybe using invisibility to hide killer/kidd or something.......you either need by-pass dura ability like luffy/law/killer or lethality like zoro........this is the reason why kidd shined the least.......

But sure, take my explanation as not an objective opinion, but as in your words, a 'trash zoro fan's take', cause of course that's what a certain kind of sanji fan like you assumes anyone to be anytime someone calls you guys out for cursing the author over subjective unfair treatment of a fictional character.

I said a couple of weeks ago that Sanji was the only one in the Monster Trio who doesn't have feats against yonko and true top tiers. Sanji fans were mad upon hearing this.

Now today we have a sanji fan pissed that Sanji doesn't have feats against any of the yonko.

sanji fans made fun of Jinbe a couple of weeks ago for not dodging every bullet fired by Who's Who's subordinates. Then Jinbe showed his Demon Tile Fist and we haven't heard from Who's Who since.

Some Sanji fans said that Yamato was only mid trio level, just because she couldn't get past Sasaki's Armoured Troops, intentionally denying the fact that Yamato was trying to defend Momonosuke and Shinobu. Then Yamato shows that she is strong enough to fight hybrid Kaido just like the other rooftop Supernovas, and its a 1v1 too. Sure Kaido may not have the bloodlust to kill Yamato, but that doesn't mean that Kaido isn't fighting seriously, nor does it mean that hybrid Yamato holding off hybrid Kaido isn't impressive.

Every time a sanji fan shitted on Jinbe for getting shot in the back by Who's Who's men, or when Yamato got stopped by Sasaki's fodder for trying to use her body to protect Momonosuke from point blank cannon fire, the sanji fanboys made fun of Jinbe and Yamato for their dire circumstances and their misfortunes. And when the Jinbe and Yamato fans defended them from the Sanji fans' slander, they were made fun of and picked on too.

Sanji fans made fun of Zoro for getting stopped by Crab Man, even though Zoro later showed to be able to block hakai and permanently scar kaido.

Now today we have a sanji fan who finally can't hold it in anymore and decides to bravely release all the anger, frustration and disgust, buried deep down in his heart. And that is that Echiro Oda is a: "m*********fucker biased t*****"

Maybe now we know why some sanji fans are so toxic, and can treat other users so rudely. They are not angry at the other fans. They are not angry at Jinbe and Yamato having better feats than Sanji.

They are just angry that Oda didn't give their Sanji the hype and feats that the Sanji fans thought that Sanji deserved, that they wanted, that they dreamed up in their heads, that they needed to use in their endless Zoro vs Sanji debates. They don't want Oda's Sanji, they don't want Sanji himself, they want their Sanji.

But most importantly, they are angry because they are Sanji fans, and seeing their Sanji not live up to their own hype and expectations, is a very hard if not impossible pill to swallow.

If you are reading this, don't be this kind of Sanji fan, its not healthy.

I'm going to correct you a little,most of them don't shit on Oda they take it with zoro,they minimize his feats to put him at Sanji's level that's the problem with 90-95% of his fans.
Probably there are good sanji fans out there who are Smart and they know that in OP is not all fighting

While that is true, that isn't always the case. A good number of Sanji fans were pissed that Oda gave Future Sight CoO to Luffy and not Sanji, because they thought that Sanji was to specialized in CoO, and that specialization should have been exclusively his alone. They question why Oda gave it to Luffy first and not Sanji. Why Luffy vs Katakuri happened instead of Sanji vs Katakuri was another 'sin' that Sanji fans couldn't come to terms with at the time when it happened. There were also Sanji fans going after the feats of Jinbe and Yamato, undermining their feats against the yonkos Kaido and Big Mom.

In cases like these, you can't just say that a lot of the shit is taken on Zoro, when Zoro had nothing to with it in the first place. Yes Sanji doesn't have Future Sight, but neither does Zoro. Blaming all of Sanji's misfortunes on Zoro or because of Zoro is a poor excuse. Its exactly the kind of excuse used by certain kinds of Sanji fans to take Sanji's rivalry with Zoro as the scapegoat to hide behind when going after the feats of other characters like Jinbe and Yamato.

Of course there are good sanji fans out there, but the really bad ones are exactly the kinds of fans who I have explained above. And every time when others explain to them why those feats make sense for those characters (jinbe blocking Big Mom, Yamato vs Kaido), they just fall back on the argument that Oda is a shit writer.

But he has a point. On the other hand, you also have a point. If by some miracle, Oda gives Zoro a suffering defeat like he gives to Luffy or Sanji, then Zoro fans would do the same. But lucky for them Oda wanks Zoro more than they expect, atleast in wano.
