One is far more relevant and notorious than the other. Oda just placed them together.

After Zoro is the one who went after Orochi because he has the emotional connection to people of Ebisu Town not Sanji

That comparisson that they brought up is a red herring bec at that point only Zoro and Luffy have an actual/built up emotional connection. No other SH had an emotional connection to anyone in Wano

exactly.

both luffy & zoro met a supernova (kid & killer respectively). they also met someone connected to the old wano (hyogoro & yasuie). both formed an emotional connect with wano (okobore town & ebisu town). both saved two little girls who the regime almost killed (otama & otoko). both had a character moment with the two kozuki siblings (momo at udon prison, hiyori at yasuie's execution). both attain powerups in act 2 which are specifically made to counter kaido (adv armament and enma).

oda's purposefully potraying luffy & zoro as opposites to each other all over wano.
