In terms of written, Bakugou it's the best for me(i dropped MHA but based on what i've heard and the cuts that i've seen he got an interesting development).
Also i don't think Megumin a very good character, he's ok and works but JJK itself has better ones(Maki for example).

My favorite is Aki.

MVA is the best arc of the manga. I feel that when MHA focuses on the villains it's a much better manga than normal.

Nah. He'll have a fight soon. An actual fight.
The war was terrible. More random and unfocused than Marineford.

The most bullshit I ever seen was Re-Destro losing to Tokoyomi lmao. He’s supposed to be a #1 Hero level threat, yet he got shafted.

Only good part was Shigiraki terrorizing the heroes.

Shigaraki/AFO was hella dope. My favourite part was the Dabi reveal though.

Aki is amazing. Honestly, CSM is full of great characters, and Aki is among the top there too.

I’m looking foward to Dabi’s future.

AFO will most definitely upgrade him with an ice or regen quirk so that he can use his fire with no limits

Sasuke -
I had a pretty rough start with this character. Since his debut, I really liked him, his character arc which turned out to be almost the entire story long seemed to be interesting but the more story progressed the more annoying his personality was. The end of Naruto part 1 and the beginning of Shippuuden were super annoying. Especially Shippuuden. He literally becomes an egoistic emo teenager who refused to listen to anyone and was fooled by a fake strive for power. It was laughable that after all he did he couldn't even pose a threat to Itachi who was even handicapped and still gave away the fight for the progress of Sasuke. I thought after his final fight with Itachi he will mature a lot. I couldn't get more wrong. He went on to be even crazier and more egotistical than he was initially and it was exactly what Itachi didn't want him to be. Up until the conversation with the revived Kages I disliked his behaviors. When it comes to fighting he was probably the most entertaining fighter in Naruto verse, wide set of skills, techniques and etc + I loved Sharingan to the core. Once the conversation between him and revived Kages was done he started to mature a lot and developed a likable personality which was amazingly shown during the last battle with Naruto when he finally accepted his stalker's feelings:smoothieduck:. In Boruto he grew on me even more and if I compare him to what he was at the beginning to what he ended up at the end of the story and later in the continuation of it. Man. Sasuke is really a good choice here.

Bakugo - @Zowo :ihaha: I will spare him from the negative opinions for now because I'm a believer.
Bakugo is a pissed-off kid who can't handle Deku's victim complex personality. He has no character traits worthy of putting him Above Yuno which shouldn't be a hard thing considering Yuno's subpar writing, yet Horikoshi managed to do it.

Yuno -
Yuno was a really promising character. He was your typical gifted, talented, and "smarter" character as oppose to Asta ( the Main Protagonist of the show ). I really liked him because his rivalry with Asta was a healthy relationship between the friends who strive for the same goal which is to become the Wizard King. I picked up liking Yuno because he wasn't like Sasuke. I mean he didn't reject Asta because he was less talented, gifted, and dumber, he appreciates Asta's struggle and never baking down and motivates himself by looking at Asta which is fantastic to see between the rivals. They obviously poke fun at each other and stuff but in the end, they push each other forward as can be seen whenever they are fighting someone together. + Asta is not a fucking stalker who probably wants to bone him like it was with Naruto and Sasuke. Unfortunately, problems start when it comes to Yuno's writing aside from his rivalry with Asta. He really doesn't have too much screen time so it was hard for Tabata to build up his personality moving forward. He started to develop during the Spade Kingdom arc from the moment where Zenon ( one of the main Antagonists of the arc ) murdered half of the squad he's in. We can see that Yuno grows his empathy towards people while doing missions or just daily chores with other squad members but it's still not too much for a Deuteragonist of the show. Tabata has a lot of work to do with him and we are really deep with BC in terms of content. There is a risk of Yuno having just about subpar writing but I hope it will change. I trust in Tabata. If he could write Noelle to be the best female lead in recent Mangas history then I can put my trust in him writing something cool for Yuno. For now, he is above Bakugo and below Sasuke in terms of my interest in Deuteragonists.

Megumi -
He is a laid-back Deutragonist who is very talented and skilled in Jujutsu sorcery but he lacks motivation and self-respect. He always puts people he keeps close to him in front and only later thinks about his well-being. He has the best backstory from the Deutragonists we are talking about in this thread with only Sasuke having a comparable one. His personality is cool and he is not ur typical mad man or royalty alike Deuteragonist. He's putting so much trust in Yuuji but at the same time, he sacrifices his own development for the sake of others. I really like when Gojo convinces him to be selfish at times. I'm really looking forward to his development and future decisions. For now, I'd say that he is only below Sasuke.

Aki -
He is a very dependable and mature person. I really liked him and his backstory, although it's your typical revenge storytime with a stoic person like Aki. He also grows to like and respect Denji along the way. He is just okay for me. I don't think he is better than Megumi and Sasuke but he is definitely above Bakugo and Yuno. Yuno and Megumi still have a chance to become greatness tho.

So the ranking for the best Deutragonist for me looks like this:

1. Sasuke.
2. Megumi.
3. Aki.
4. Yuno.
5. Bakugo.

My personal favorite is Sasuke, followed by Megumi.

Sasuke and Aki are extremely clear. Sasuke's the best written, but Aki's my favourite.

Sasuke's goated solely for being the OG source of all the clones.

The other 3 stink. Bakugo's very irritating, Megumi's dry and uninteresting af, Yuno's completely forgettable.

It's actually insane how good the CSM main cast is written. By main cast I mean Denji, Power, Aki and Makima. Denji is an amazing and interesting protagonist, Aki is a GOAT deuteragonist, Power is a superb main female protagonist, and Makima just wow. Top tier villain and one of the best in recent manga history imo. Superb character, and imo the best written one in CSM
I expect a lot of bandwagoners as soon as the CSM anime drops.

Not a big fan of Shippuden Sasuke but he is clearly the best deuteragonist. Kishi was really in his bag when he created Sasuke as a rival to Naruto.
As for my fave, I'll go with either Sasuke or Bakugo. Pre Shippuden Sasuke was my favourite character but I stopped being a fan after he tried to kill Sakura but later became a fan after Naruto beat him into becoming a good friend, husband and father. As for Bakugo, I initally disliked his character but warmed up to him. Ngl, some of the things I have been hearing lately hasn't been all that great.

I think post war Sasuke, basically Sasuke in the last and Boruto is amazing. Honestly Boruto Sasuke might be my favourite version of Sasuke.

It'll be the next big thing for sure (arguably already is). All Mappa has to do is not screw up.

There are tons of similarities between CSM and JJK. So if the latter's popularity is anything to go by, CSM should explode.

Yeah I agree. I have faith in Mappa. Especially after a banger that was the JJK anime. I think CSM is gonna go off just like JJK. Heck maybe even more.

Boruto Sasuke is easily one of my favourite characters in Boruto along with Naruto, Sakura, Sarada, Hima and Hinata. He is just everything I ever wanted for the character. I am so glad that edgy phase of his life is over :catsweat:

Yup I am an anime only but honestly this season has been a let down.

Yeah Sasuke has always been great imo, but this is the next stage. Itachi still >> tho :jordanmf:

You're on season 5, right? I actually dropped the anime and just read the manga. It's much better and much faster. I heard they are adapting imo the best arc of MHA in the anime right now. But I also heard it's started bad. I honestly advise starting the manga, as I said this arc that should be animated right now is the best arc of MHA. I fear the anime will tone down a lot of things.

Yeah, I reckon it will too. It's way more original, a better spectacle and just generally better written IMO. Can't wait to see it pop off even more.
Can't wait to see Makima in action.

That PV looked amazing.

I have a bias towards JJK so it's hard to argue this without sounding like a fanboy. I do think that even without my love for JJK, Megumi would at least rank second in terms of writing. I feel like he grows more than people give him credit for. One of my favorite lines from in the Shibuya arc is “even if I plan on risking my life, I don't plan on throwing it away”. Anyone else saying this line, I probably wouldn't have care, but this line hits me coming from Megumi. He may not have completely 180’d personalities but he has grown.

Aki I feel is a clear Top 1 in terms of writing. He has more character growth in less than 100 chapters than some of these other guys have in 300. I don’t want to spoil any of his story, but it's fantastic.

Yuno & Bakugo are fine. I don't particularly love either of those characters, but they serve their roles.

Edit: Ok I somehow forgot about Sasuke while making this post, that embarrassing, I’ll be brief. Sasuke is good. He’s like the main reason this archetype got popular. I haven't read Naruto in years though, so nostalgia may be blinding me.
