Did kaido get that much weakened?

Yamato went from not finishing off ulti with a sneak attack thunder bagua, to matching kaido's strength with the same attack.

Or ACoC is not realy that impressive.

Things to consider

- Yamato probably got stronger during this fight

- Her cuffs were said to have kairoseki, so that could have affected her strength also

- Kaido of course went through an entire gauntlet of attacks, not sure how much he's weakened but it should have had some effect on him, more or less.

Let's try to guess how the chapter will play out:
- first page: Onigashima is approaching the capital
- Kaido vs Yamato, again. Yamato at this point has fought more than post TS Sanji on panel. 4-5 pages
- massive dragon Momo is afraid of height, a page or two of gags about it
- Kaido afraid of Momo appearance, he looks like Oden. Two or three pages.
- spread of Momo, Yamato and Luffy ready to fight Kaido

We have 4-5 pages for the rest of the war, probably some kid Yamato flashback and Oden kya moment.

He is as good as garbage who doesn't have any types of haki , experience and physical strength. He isn't emotionally strong either.
All the time he just keeps on crying and does nothing. And now he is standing before KAIDO.

He doesn't have CoA, yes. He does have CoO tho and his base physical stats should already be really high in his adult form. He has Oden's genes. He doesnt have experience tho like you said so he shouldn't be able to do anything major against Kaido, at least in his human form. Dragon form is another thing tho because he'll have the firepower of Dragon Kaido. Imagine attacks like Boro Breath from him. I think he can be a good 'support' for Luffy along with Yamato.
