not rly, i thought cult happens at night. it was just a matter of do converts appear in writeups or not
i was surprised they happened during the day
If you thought they would happen at night, why would you willfully let Town go into a Night where they don't have any concrete idea that Cult exists, on the off chance that you might get targeted by the recruiter? How does that make sense to you.

And another thing I've been holding onto. If we're looking at flavour, why would Eula have an immunity from joining the Abyss Order? She has no relation or relevance to Lumine or the Abyss. What possible reason could there be that Kaeya, Diluc etc could join the Abyss, but Eula cannot? This game has clearly made an attempt to be related to flavour, so what's the flavour justification here? They just... stopped following flavour when they made your role?

@Ratchet how differently would town play n1 if they know cult in game? enlighten me
Already responded about this. Investigative roles play it differently. Killing roles play it differently (there is an argument for shooting safe Cult Recruits that have high scum equity). You don't play a Cult the same way you play a Mafia. That's just obvious.
I mean, how am I treating you like a newbie? I'm just saying you coming out and saying you're going to block Invest and Protect makes little sense to me?
No, that's not what you said. You said "Ratchet believes blocking an Investigator and a Doctor is the best course of action", as if I somehow wouldn't know better if it were as clear cut as that. I asked who else I should be blocking, and you've ignored that. You've also failed to provide an example where I'm supposed to have treated you like a newbie. I can be a condescending prick when I want to be, but I don't feel like I have been to you at all. In fact, I think I've been very dignified in my responses to you.
im not a fan of ppl pretending to be dumb, ur not a new player ratchet
u go to sus pile now

:moonwalk:
I'm neither pretending to be dumb, nor pretending to be a new player. Qualify this claim, or concede it.
i would laugh so hard at u if that failed convert was on me
I mean, the post you're quoting refers to a hypothetical that never happened so... Good job? Not sure what the relevance is here.

because unlike u, i dont think letting town know cult exist day 1 will make any difference in their play night 1, and if u think otherwise tell me how

the game has far deviated from flavor already with jean being fatui and xiao being SK, what r u even on
diluc and kaeya r millers here, me and conq have noble immunities

how lol? what would a cop do differently?
what would say, TAC do differently?
what would hayumi do differently?

Basically you have the weight the cost/benefit to Town knowing for 1 extra night that there is cult vs multiple days where the cult could possibly waste a conversion on Ekko. I think the later would probably be more beneficial but I’m not an expert.

Jean being mafia was super flavor consistent lol.

im not gna lie the only sad part about being cult immune...

is that u cant win with cult

Xiao being Serial isn't a stretch at all. He is explicitly said to be a lone wolf that combats evil with violence. He's also referred to as a Demon. Him being Aligned against good and bad equally fits his character fine.

Jean being Fatui is clearly a deviation, but the issue here is that we have a role in the game designed to counter it. This being Emi's, which I assume activated upon Rej using his fake Innocent Child write up. The most likely possibility right now is that Emi's role activates upon certain triggers being hit, such as (X) killing (Y) and (W) using (Z). It's also not clear that Rej is actually Jean herself, but could be someone using a disguise of Jean as a sort of Death Miller, but that's another matter.

A Cop would probably not waste an investigation to check a vocal player, because the point of doing so would be to ensure that their voice can be trusted. A Cult being in the game renders that moot. Like, think lol.

There is absolutely no way any Cult would ever burn multiple Recruits trying to target the same person. They simply need the numbers too much for that. Same reason why a Serial would never shoot the same person twice.

they wont obviously try to recruit me more than once, what r u trying to get at exactly?

I don't even recall who Aether has claimed character wise. His not being Cult-immune, but yours being so, isn't exactly a point in your favour here.
no i mean urs
why isnt urs cult immune? the MC aether

you know why?

cuz flavor is clearly being deviated from here

Prof argued that Cult may potentially spend multiple days burning recruit attempts on you, to argue that the trade off against a better-informed town skews towards your course of action. I'm saying the absolute most that Cult would spend recruiting you is one attempt.

That’s not what I meant. I meant every night is a chance that they decide to target Ekko. If they target him even one night and it stops a convert that’s huge for Town.
