Because like we said, Escorts and Consorts are effectively the same role. The only thing is that one is innocent and the other is suspicious on sheriff investigations. And of course, it's possible to discern that you may not be town aligned with who you target.

Since you did what Don asked you to it's easy to assume that you did so in order to gain favor from him, trying to get town cred and slide under the radar for long enough to deal some damage.

And to add on that, even if Don asked you @ZoroSlaysDragonTuna to target one of your team members all you would need to do is to either abstain or do something else, and have your teammate claim he got RBd, and then you would've dealt even more damage. It's quite easy.

if my tinfoil is right, which i 100% believe in atm, you claiming escort and alibaba claiming lookout that was rb'd gets two things done.

Ofc you wouldn't claim consort and be on Don's list too won't you? You wouldn't have claimed at all if Don didn't get his reults. But that definitely put you in a precarious position since Mango had also just waved suspicion towards YonTan and disappeared. You had to do something to clear your name.

But why not just not claim AT ALL since i had zero reason to claim this early.
Every body was surprised ( including me) that two escorts exist because its very rare.
How is claiming something that is very rare a good play?
Its a bad play that will make you look suspisous all game.
