Wdym, nationalities?

Taz Skylar isn't french. Nami isn't swedisch. Luffy isn't brazilian.

They are GLAD they found a japanese actor suited for the role. And Usopp mainly was just always "he'll be black". They didn't follow the nationalities much in the end.
The Luffy actor is still latino but looks nothing like Luffy. They couldn’t find appropriate actor in brazil so they went for next close option, they would have got better candidate if they would have opened Luffy’s role to all ethnicities as long as he looks like him.

Meiji restoration trauma. Japan didnt' want to become a colony so they imitated western culture to a degree that allows them to stay independent and turn into an imperialist aggressor themselves
No

Japan didn't try to imitate western culture in order to apease western powers.

Japan realized that staying feudal like they were under Tokugawa era would only spell their doom because western civilization was rapidly advancing. Japanese did embrace western stuff but they also heavily retained their japanese customs. It wasn't culture switch that made European powers back off but the military might of Japan that rapidly industrialized which was further cemented when they kicked Russia's ass.

Never said this

This is what I said. Japan embraced parts of western culture in order to void being colonised like India, China to a degree etc
Didnt say they 'appeased' the west.

also heavily retained their japanese customs.
They banned all sorts of customs that they deemed 'too traditional', even completely harmless things that could have coexisted well with industrialization.

They intended for their extensive imperialist expansion to mirror the british empire.

It's really hard to describe it without getting into "ignorant" race discussions, which I don't wanna go to and have no interest in it, so I think it's much better to see them in comparison to each other for a reference.
Can you literally not point to one thing that’s different? I’m genuinely lost at what your point is… Like Zoro Ryuma and Ushimaru all look alike… Okay… So you are saying Kin’emon not being a Zoro clone automatically makes him more Japanese looking than Zoro?

roroken live action is probably one of the best liveaction along with alita and kingdom. the swordplay and the action sequence in that film is fantastic.
I watched some videos on YouTube a long time ago, is there more than one film?

The upper 3 were intentionally drawn to resemble old paintings, same with O-Tsuru. While Kiku doesn't. It doesn't make kiku look European tho

Zoro casting looks A1 ngl. Mr steal Momonosuke's sister

Unlike Eminem from Wish 🤡🤣

:seriously:, too far bro, the actor didn't do anything to you, he looks pretty great and seem like he has potential, way to go taking the worst possible picture
Post automatically merged:

Zoro's actor is an L
He's spot on, he's a muscular Japanese guy, that's literally the most basic description of zoro
