If Rej had his doubts then he should have confronted Light about lying rather than trying to duel him and not doing what he was asked to do. Now we don't have info which we could have if Light wasn't kept occupied. But Rej gave up and he himself admitted himself as the pirate so I don't think he thought Light was lying, or else he wouldn't have admitted what he did. So you theorizing about Rej is not needed and Rej can do his own talking but it seems to me like you are putting ideas in his head.

The course of action we did last day phase was the correct one. You don't want to lynch an indie like the exe or pirate when you can have them night-killed instead. And there was reason to suspect Don. It just so happens he was the jailor and we were wrong about him. That's okay. However, the mistake was that what we had on Don wasn't good enough to warrant lynching him over Mid. I won't repeat the mistake. If again, we don't have any strong reads to go off of, then we will default to lynching Mid.
