3. Some younger scabbards' design are really nice (Nekomamushi, Kawamatsu, and Okiku)
4. Mystery of "who was Whitebeard's right hand man" got answered, it was Oden during his short joining to Whitebeard Pirates and Marco was still apprentice
5. No Lulffy for 13 chapters

1. Kinemon said Kaido wanted information about his journey with Roger -> result: Oda forgets the whole scene
2. Toki, the survivor from Void Century was useless, but what's to expect from One Piece about its female characters
3. Oden became dumb and believed Kaido and Orochi would just leave Wano like that after 5 years
4. Scabbards got sidelined so much (in Oden vs Kaido chapter)
5. Not enough focus on Calamities, and 8 y.o. Jack didn't appear at all
6. Oden and retainers vs Kaido and Beasts felt very rushed
7. No hint about traitor at all

Things I expected to happen but didn't happen: Appearance of Child Jack in the flashback.
Things I expected didn't happen but actually happened: Oden is an idiot.

I liked to see Prime Beard and Young Kaido and Orochi. The art was really good as well.

But the plot was unbearable. Boring and filled with inconsistencies. And Oden was a horrible character to follow his story. Toki as well as being useless, barely has any paneltime. This FB really makes the rating of Wano be lower as well.

3/10, boring asf. The fact that the subplot about the baby pig that Kinemon stole literally encompasses more panel time than Roger saying good bye to his crew about sums up One Piece for me right now. Almost entirely irrelevant filler that I couldn’t care less about.

Most of these points go to the Roger vs Whitebeard clash. Who the hell cares about Oden honestly. I'm glad I could see those two men crossing their weapons even as a mere glimpse.

I would go with 6, it has it ups and downs, bt overall it wasn't entirely bad. There were good panels where we saw Roger Pirates, and ending of Oden was good imo.

And tbh the Plot In One Piece has always had the stupidity factor, it is only by ignoring these that one can enjoy Onepiece.

All those points you mentioned are generic , will be explained later or will be revealed later . You are one of the classic example who lacks patience while reading .

10 for me. I would read it even if it was just a one-shot story from Oda like in Monsters. It binded eveything together regarding Oden and Wano. Now watching the anime isn't the same as reading the manga for me. I can see what they all have gone through to get here. Rethinking all the puzzles of Wano from Punk Hazard makes me even more hyped for Wano finale. The flashback had its own downside but remember it is from the perspective of RS and Oden himself. So, lot of important stuffs were cut short.

I'd say 6/10...

I listened to the one piece podcast episode of last chapter and they discussed why At his flashback is markedly different from other flashbacks and why it's supposed to feel different.

For example Oden is a Protagonist who dies in this flashback which has only ever happened with the Noland and Calgara flashback Whereas every other flashback was like the protagonist was alive and it's the mentor who dies. Like Corazon dies or Bellamerè dies while Law and Nami live on.

The second thing they pointed out was that Oden had a fatal flaw of not explain if himself and this was introduced since the first chapter where he cooks food on his comrades' corpse and doesn't explain himself to he comrades' family. This carries on to him not explaining himself to Scabbards or his wife or anyone for five years until his death and yet SO MANY THINGS could've been fixed if he explained himself.

Third is that the Scabbards are intentionally made to be useless while Oden does all the work so that in the current timeline their resolve to be useful for a change is backed up by guilt of being useless before

These were relatively good arguments that made me like the flashback a bit more. So I moved my vote from 5/10 to 6/10 just because of those relatively good arguments
