Luffy can tank attacks but as you say we are talking about top tier attacks, Kaido best ones and best mode
During 1037 and this chapter he tanked Kaido best attacks point blank in base or in G4 and suffered barely or recovered.
First time here that boro breath is not treated as a joke but still Luffy tank that without too much problem, in 1037 he took a Uber Ragnarok on his face and wasn’t knock out or anythibg
We know that Kaido has the attack power to knock out freaking Oden in one blow, WB put down freaking Akainu down in two attacks, even Luffy was KO with one TB during Wano first act, and on the roof Kaido KOed him with one ragnarok for some long time.
And now Luffy can take blow after blow after blow….
Make him block them, evade them, or partially dodge/block, but tanking them head on and rising up without real damage reduce the fear factor / the weight of those attacks.

Whoever hyped up Zoro and zkk needs to quit one piece, Zoro the non fs/ non advanced coa / non flying / slowest monster trio with mediocre ap and defence that almost got killed by king is nowhere and I mean nowhere close whatever that retarded headcanon told you.

Ppl here saying Kaido gona have character development through flashbacks lol. Not happening according to what chapter shows, infact it will be the quite opposite, Kaido might go rampage. Read the chapter carefully!!
Kaido drunk mode when he attack Luffy on last panel is a "Killing spree" mode
It might be intentional for Oda to give Kaido that mode just in the time that unfortunate intervention happen with Kaido is obviously isn't happy about with it.
Oh boy not at the time when Kaido is in his possibly most dangerous drunken mode.
If you don't know, drunk has different phase in real life too.
Some drunk are as lovely as they could, while some could be funny asf, some are distressed some go full retard and it goes on
But some drunk mode could go agressive asf too, with killing intention, brutality etc many person who aren't necessarily evil ofen kill other due to being drunk
And this Kaido drunken mode is specifically a "Killing" spree mode, it's going to be dangerous
Especially it happens in the worse situation when Kaido experience again something he doesn't want to let it happen again, for 20 years of boredom finally fighting worthy opponent 1v1
We might see some brutal moment or mass killing (let's hope lol) from angry Kaido "Killing spree mode" next chapter and this could be turning point of "no stakes" no "dies" etc.

Once again this guy leaving Drake for dead and walking off--didn't even go for the heart or head which a Shigan to make sure.
(Though technically we just see Drake starting to fall back with a blood splatter. It kinda reminds me of Apoo who got shigan'd to the neck though he used Armament to lesson the damage. Drake could do the same here tbh. He's already gotten up from a fatal blow from this guy once already after all and was apparently supposed to be dead.)
While I understand the Boss's "mission" is more important since the Gorosei ordered it, he didn't actually eliminate Luffy yet either.
Another thing that puzzles me, what will Kaido do now??? Kill CP0 like he killed The Hag? And then what? People are counting on Luffy to win. Hm. Not only that, Onigashima is still burning right??
