Oda is so low key smart, that he hints the truth in such little details that most of us don't realise after the first read.

I want talk much, let the panels speak for it self.

1. Panel, Chapter Title 1042: The Victor needs no epithet



2. Panel, Chapter 1043: Victor: Kaido "King of the Beasts"



This is low key genius. Oda implies one chapter before Kaido defeats Luffy, that a Victor don't need a epithet, yet Kaido defeated Luffy the next chapter and Oda as the narrator box itself writes: Victor: Kaido "King of the Beasts".

But why does he did it? The answers is Simple: Kaido never won a serious fight with a strong in opponent in a fair way, Oden, Luffy Kaido only won due to tricks and Third persons involving in a fight.

Kaido is miserable, a drunk and full of sadness because he was never a real Victor.

I'd really like it if that was the case. Kaido's never had a genuine death battle with someone who he deems as an equal. Makes sense now why he idolized how Whitebeard went out.

good catch though and i checked Zoro & Sanji Victory box.
and yes, Oda didnt put "Pirate Hunter" and "Black Leg" in Zoro & Sanji Victory Box.
