I’m aware that it is new for Luffy. I was talking about kaido. The Zoans on impel down were buffer than normal animals and buffer then normal hybrid forms. I’m just saying that Kaido might be already using his awakened form and we just can’t tell the difference. We don’t always need characters to confirm that they are awakened.

Weren't they supposed to have guarded that fruit before Shanks stole it? Speaking of Shanks, it makes his actions even more ambiguous. Was his return to East Blue when he had been in the new world for years really acted ? What was the purpose ? The fact he knew how the fruit looked like and aimed at stealing it suggest he perfectly knew what he was doing
But at the same time, despite having the fruit, he didn't attempt to eat it or give it to anyone in his crew. And before returning to East Blue, he didn't know Luffy. So now the question is to who exactly did he want to give the fruit ? The only one who could make sense is Ace, since he is the one Roger perceived to surpass their accomplishments, but likely that Luffy pronouncing the same words as his captain, the fact he ultimately ended up eating the fruit made him wonder if it wasn't fate that wanted Luffy to be the one to eat it
"Zoan have mind on their own", interesting is it because of their "animalistics" attributes ? Not a fan of Oda changing Luffy's fruit into a zoan tho
Funnily enough all the protagonists / antagonists of the Momotaro theory turned out to be zoan users(Luffy, Kaido, Yamato, Momonosuke, Marco)
Interestingly though another character who had a Hito Hito no mi model is Sengoku, and a mythical zoan as well - Daibutsu.
Outside of this, the fact it's a Hito Hito no Mi model (Human Human Fruit) parallels him a bit to Chopper, except with the contrast of Chopper, the animal aiming, originally aiming at becoming a human, but ultimately accepting to become a monster to help Luffy and co

So the awakening of a zoan fruit can also affect the environment?
Or is it just a special case for mythical zoans / Luffy's fruit
Because awakened zoans so far granted great recovery speed, so if we add the enhancements in physical attributes, plus the ability to affect the environment on top, it puts paramecia awakenings to shame
