Introduction
- This thread's main objective is to present and discuss information about all Swords/Blades in One Piece. But for that, I'm going to classify their types, classes and degrees, in addition to talking about the most powerful in this universe.
( Warning-This thread is not just for Zoro fans, have a nice day)
Part 1- Classification by type
-With a wide range of blades in terms of shapes and attributes, it is necessary to classify them by their type, starting by:
Katana: The most popular and common is the Katana, a thin, curved blade, such as Roronoa Zoro's swords.
- Wakizachi is a short katana, the weapon that Momonosuke uses due to his size.
- Kogatana It's a tiny version of a Katana that Mihawk used to humiliate Zoro
- Tanto It is a knife most used for seppuku practice.
- Nodachi It is a longer type of katana, like Trafalgar Law's Kikoku, Shiryu's Raiu, and Charlotte Amande's Shirauo.
- Dao is a kind of scimitar, swords used by characters like Queen, Johnny and Yosaku
- Jian, is a straight sword like the Meito of Shiki, Oto and Kogarashi
- Cutlass It is a short and thick saber, the most common weapon among Random Marines, also used by Hachi and Wanda, but the most important and renowned cleaver sword of all is Gol D. Roger's Ace sword.
- Saber It's very similar to a cleaver sword but it's a bigger and thinner blade, X-Drake uses a saber, Onigumo uses eight of them and the best known of all is Shanks' legendary Gryphon (which we'll talk about later)
- Kukri is a heavy knife and used by Helmeppo, Sarquiss Bellamy's right hand also uses one of these.
- Shikomizue is a sword normally hidden inside a cane and of course, Brook's Soul Solid is one of those
- Shirasaya It is a flat blade consisting of just a sheath and a handle, Kaku uses a pair of them, Fun fact: Admiral Fugitora's sword is a mix of Brook's shikomizue and a shirasaya like Kaku's, being classified in both categories
- Zanbato It is a curved and gigantic sword such as Arlong's Kuribachi, Squardo's sword, Pika's blade, Bastille's Same-kiri Bocho and Mihawk's Incredible Yoru
- Rapier is a thin, pointed sword, designed primarily for swinging, used by Diamond as well as Inuarashi and Shishilian , but the main foil of the series is the one wielded by Cavendish, the Durandal
- Longsword is a classic European-style blade used by Kyros, Rebecca, Riku III, as well as Dorry with her mythological Terry sword, Charlotte Cracker's Pretzel sword, and T-Bone with Bamboo.
- Machete is used by Pedro
- Shotel is a curved sword with a partially circular blade resembling a scythe, Blonde wielded a pair of Shotel and Jack as well

Part 2- Classification by Class
having seen the types of weapons that can be considered blades, let's go to their 3 known classes: Meito, Kokuto and Yoto.
Within Meito the quality of the sword related to its grade, the higher the grade the better the sword, but let's go by parts
Meito- Famous Blade
- Literally means a famous blade, they are swords of exceptional quality that have gained fame around the world, it is said that all Meito have cutting power and resistance that far exceeds common blades.
Kokuto- Black Blades
-They are swords that have a black blade (lol), which had this transformation after numerous battles, these swords are usually (not a rule) stronger than a common blade Meito, as it is a kind of blade evolution, despite There are Kokutos that are graded below Meitos with common blades, they are known for their strong toughness. It is mentioned that if a swordsman transforms a sword into Kokuto, its rank increases but this is very rare, so that we only know of two black bladed swords: Mihawk's Yoru and Ryuma's Shusui.
Yoto- Cursed Blade
- Finally, we have Yoto. They are swords that carry a curse and are said to bring misfortune or a kind of bad luck to their wielders. All three Kitetsu blades are cursed as is Trafalgar Law's Kikoku. An important point is that these three classifications do not prevent a sword from being classified in more than one of them, for example:
Sandai Kitetsu is a Yoto and ok, it's a Meito. It is a cursed sword and it is also a famous sword.
Mihawk's Yoru is a Kokuto and is also a Meito, which is the same case as Shusui. By chance, we've never seen a sword that qualifies as Meito, like Kokuto and also Yoto, but if a blade like that appears, it will surely fall into Roronoa Zoro's hands. It is worth remembering that the process for a sword to become a Yoto or a Kokuto is still unknown. The Kokuto is probably something related to the constant use of CoA in the sword but turning into a Yoto is still a mystery.
Part 3- Classification by Grade
-There are four levels to categorize Meito. The first degree we will talk about is the low in the classification starting with:
Wazamono
-High quality blades, far superior to common swords but not comparable to those in the above category. we don't know how many swords are in Wazamono but the only known ones are the:
- Tashigi's Shaguire
- Zoro's Sandai Kitetsu, which was forged by Tenguyama Hitetsu, which ended up in the hands of Ipponmatsu and then in the hands of:
Ryõ Wazamono- 50 skillful grade swords
Very high quality swords known for their strength and durability. As much as there are 50 swords in this category, we only know three and interestingly, two belong to Tashigi's collection:
- The Kashu was a sword that belonged to agent Mr. 11 from Baroque Works. After being defeated in a duel with Tashigi of the Marines, she claimed the sword for herself.
- Billy's Yamaoroshi, the captain of the Yes Pirates(We don't have images of this character or this sword, because they are mentioned in the Loguetown Arc Novel, that is, they were just words written on paper and not drawn)

Õ Wazamono- 21 Swords of Great Grade
Highest quality blades in the world second only to Supreme Grade. These blades are not known for their incredible power, strength and durability. Among these incredible swords, we have 5 named:
-The Nidai Kitetsu created by Kotetsu, an ancestor of Tenguyama Hitetsu that ended up in that character's hands. Luffy took this sword, lost it when he went to Udon, but Kiku recovered it after the rebellion and gave it back to Hitetsu
- Wado Ichimonji was forged by Shmotsuki Kozaburo, who passed it on to his son Shimotsuki Koshiro, who passed it on to his daughter Shimotsuki Kuina, who passed it on to her friend Roronoa Zoro
- Shusui is a Kokuto that belonged to the legendary Samurai Ryuma, then ended up in the hands of Zoro who exchanged it for Enma, leaving it as a National Treasure of the Wano Country
- Enma was forged by Shimotsuki Kozaburo, belonged to Oden, was inherited by Hyori who presented her husband Roronoa Zoro (LMFAO)

Saijo Õ Wazamono- 12 Swords of Supreme Grade
The 12 highest quality blades in this entire universe. Swords that boast incredible feats throughout their use, such as being exposed to the most destructive elements without losing their edge and cutting into gigantic structures. Inside these absurd swords we have:
- Yoru, a Kokuto that belongs to the WSS, Dracule Mihawk
- Shodai Kitetsu, a Yoto of the highest Grade
- the nagnata of Newgate is also classified here, the Murikumo guri was able to confront the:
- incredible Ace sword of Gol D. Roger
- These four are so far the most powerful blades ever shown in the One Piece universe, the rarest of all and certainly the ones that every expert swordsman would like to have in his hands. We have Unknown Grade Half Swords like:
- Shiki's Oto and Kogarashi
- Shiryu's Nodachi Raiu
- Cavendish's Durandal Rapier.
- Charlotte Amande's Shirauo.
- Charlotte Cracker's Pretzel.
- Hitetsu's sword, an unnamed Meito that belongs to Tenguyama Hitetsu
- We also have Meito swords that have names, but no known Grade classification:
- Arlong's Kiribachi.
- Dorry's Terry Sword.
- T-Bone's Banbu
- Spandam's Funkfreed
- Franken, Franky's Sword
- Soul Solid, Brook's Shikomizue
- Bastille's Same Kiri Bocho
- Karakuri Rasento, a mechanical sword that can do drill moves.
- Law's Kikoku is a Yoto class but does not have a Grade rating
-Surprisingly, there is a sword that has a name, but does not have a Grade or Class classification, that is, it is not recognized as a Meito, Kokuto or Yoto, much less classified in some Wazamono Grade. That sword had to belong to him, Shanks the Red. The Gryphon is a Classless and Gradeless sword that has a name and an incredible owner. As much as we don't have anything confirmed, it is possible that it is a Saijo Õ Wazamono for being a sword of a Yonko and having exchanged clean blows with Whitebeard's Murakumo guri. And also randomly Kawamatsu has a sword without Grade and Class, but that has a name: the Soto Muso.
