The last day phase was a shit show so I wanted to take the night phase to collect my thoughts and give opinions on a few things. The last thing we need is another full day of town vs town so I want all of us to try to get on the same page of things so we can move forward.
What happened with Rej
I think it's safe to say that the worst-case scenario happened at the last EoD. Rej flipped town, Ekko got killed without flipping and town is at each other's throats despite there being a sizable scum presence still in the game. 1 purple, 2 reds, and the WQ.
That leads to the question, "why was Rej lynched."
So from what I've seen during my short time playing mafia, there is an element I've from noticing that is basically "Town aligned but anti-town." Basically, on paper, they are town-aligned with a town win-con. But their actions are ones that actively hurt town whether it is intentional or not. I would say that Rej was doing it this game. I ask that you look back at Rej's actions and look at it from the perspective of someone who had doubts about him beforehand.
Rej's playstyle set off flags for Ekko who convinced me on the theory, which led to the tin foil, which led to the lynch. With Rej actively not collaborating the entire time.
Though I am not blameless in this scenario as well. I let my emotions and pride get the best of me which led to my hard tunneling of Rej. Where I should've trusted my instincts about how weird it was that this back and forth basically dominated the day phase with a lynch that happened with almost no protest. I could've taken a step back, reassessed some things, gotten back on the right track despite my frustrations with other players, and gotten focused on the bigger picture. I apologize for that and will take it as a lesson for future games.
Gambit and the AST
This was another case where I could've played better. I was too focused on being right instead of finding a solution here. What I should've done is actually look up AST instead of going with what I thought they were.
But I will say that my instinct of the characters from AST being town this game was correct and here's why.
https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Anti_Spirit_Team_(Date_A_Live)#:~:text=Type of Villains&text=It is the de facto,Ex.
Basically, the 4 characters in the notable characters section are all characters that became good over the course of the series.
Ryouko is an anti-hero and supporting protagonist
Kyouhei Kannazuki is a part of Fraxinus now who's an ally to the mc
Origami turns into a spirit and also becomes an ally to the mc
Mana also becomes a main heroine as well
What this means is that the idea of
@Gambit being a part of the AST does
not mean he's anti-town. Since it would mean he's one of these notable characters who would be considered as town. It would make sense for these to be Millers since they
used to be bad.
It's the exact same thing with
@Charlie's character. A character that was a villain and turned good. Thus I put full confidence that Gambit is town despite being apart of this group. Which means there is no 3rd mafia. It's red and purple and the White Queen.
By the way I'm glad you're not dead
@Ekkologix it seems like the person that erased you might've actually saved you.
