Oh damn haha, I was a little older when I discovered it the first time, it terrfied but fascinated me and I totally crushed on Dana Scully/Gillian ofc! I really liked Mulder as well. My mum didn't like me watching at all but I decided to watch random episodes here and there a while ago and loved it!

Lmfaoooo I didn't even notice! I was hyped and fixated on the Eyeshield nostalgia that I didnt even see the other EDs yet! Funnily enough, I googled "Eyeshield Tatami" (I tried Eyeshield Tatamy and didnt get any "proper" results for obvious reasons now in hindsight lmao) and this came up on Himura's Wiki page!:

Eyeshield is really great! It has a really upbeat, peppy, energetic attitude but a LOT of heart and wackiness! Himura is a great mentor and character and its very chaotic! I found it very endearing and funny although some of the writing choices might be pretty questionable these days, especially given what I've seen from the manga too. It basically depicts black people with literal/direct mention of them being black as being "superior" and such and that's causing controversy! From what I remember, I really liked the black character, Ithought he was written well and endearing, his name was Panther too and he was cool imo! He was drawn respectfully and not in that horrific, ugly cariacture like in old cartoons and manga/anime and such!

There is also one character who is inspired by Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star and even said so in the series by Sena the MC I think? Theres also another guy who might be based on Musashi Miyamoto iirc lol?

Idk how well Eyeshield has actually aged, I saw it when I was MUCH younger and the anime was cancelled prematurely like with Bleach and Ranma 1/2s sadly, but the manga finished the story at least. The artist (not the writer/creator) for Eyeshield is also the one and only Yusuke Murata, the very same one who does One Punch Man's manga art for its creator too!

I felt Eyeshield was really heartwarming, engaging, hilarious, fun, memorable and had such likeable characters, real stakes, great action and storylines and such. It was one of my favourite shows back in the day easily!

Havent watched an anime in while, i might try this one, its intersting story
Honestly i dont Pay attention to the writing msitakes that much, as long as its enjoyable im fine with it so thats not really a problem for me if it has some bad writing moments here and there lol,
And the manga art
Also, may i ask how many eps/chapters it is?

It has 145 episodes and 333 chapters apparently. You will have to switch to the manga at some point (after the death march arc at least, can't remember what else there was) but the anime is really good imo. Murata is an amazing artists so the manga art will be top tier anyway ofc but the anime is really something special in its own ways too!

I didn't know that many people have seen Eyeshield 21. It didn't seemed that popular when I watched it. Tatamy ending is certainly good. All the tough picks are in bracket 2 lol.
