Looking up stuff it doesn't seem like inverse means scum. The impression I got is that it's more of a berserk mode in the series. Since the characters that have gone inversed use it more as a power-up.

Im still with you Tohka and whoever my third baby is which is probably Usopp or Juliet tbh.
