Yeah, imo ZKK was always going to happen AFTER Luffy knocked out Kaido first Then something like tiredness/G5 drawback kicks in so Luffy cant keep fighting and a half-dead Kaido get up trying to destroy the capital. This is where Zoro steps in.
Zoro was never going to outshine Luffy, so the idea Luffy is getting another L again just so Zoro can 1 vs 1 Kaido and take down an emperor while the MC got no win was always fanboys desillusion

I would be fine with this. Luffy fans get to have their full 1v1 and defeat kaido and this way zoro fans can still get what they want without outshining luffy

Exactly! Just like either of them not seeing Momo's adult form as you said too. Shinobu was even overcome with emotion when she saw what adult Momo looked like and thus who he looked like as she said too. Then Lolda proceeds to make sure Momo stays in Dragon form the whole time and never shows us for AGES until now!

- Scene changes to Gorosei that get a report that Strawhat Luffy awakened his devil fruit (no idea who gives the report)
- The Gorosei say that Strawhat is now Yonko level and apprehending him would take at least 2 Admirals
- They also say that even Mihawk can't beat him now and the only person on the planet that can match him is Shanks
- The chapter ends with Gorosei writing a list of 10 names and calling it their new top 10 Tier List !!
